Their older music is much better than anything they did in the late 80s and early 90s. First album I bought was slide it in and it’s still on my playlist 40yrs later
As mentioned below, the drummer people are probably referring to is Tommy Aldridge who I think had health issues during this tour which is why Brian Tichy is playing. If you want to see how much of a beast Tommy Aldridge is, watch "Cryin in the Rain" from their London Concert from 2006 (I think). It includes the drum solo and I believe Tommy was 55 or 56 at the time.
It is Brian Tiche on drums. Tommy Aldridge was the one who 'set the tone' for this song and others on the 87 album and future albums. He's just incredible on the drums!
I saw Whitesnake live at the Summer Stage at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J.. This video doesn't even do that drummer justice. He is an absolute machine. If thunder had a cousin, it would be him.
In the first few seconds of your videos (intro), it looks like Travis is ready to grab his stuff, as he pivots and turns to walk the other way! Total command of the stage!
MUST See them live in 1983...before they became well known...live 1983. Was BY FAR. Thier BEST year. On their SLIDE IT IN Tour...please view a song..they were Purely in Tune.......
Yes, they rereleased Fool For Your Loving on the Slip of the Tongue album in 1990 but it was originally recorded on the Ready An' Willing album from the early 80s and had a more bluesy sound to it. Less rock. Still sounds great but just a different version.
I love Whitesnake but poor Dave is hitting 70 this year. But he's a Rock n Roll hall of famer with his little old band called, " Deep Purple. Check out anything from the Whitesnake "Live in the still of the night" dvd...And the drummer is the legendary heavy pounding Tommy Aldridge and I recommend the songs from this DVD: Burn, Bad Boys, Still of the Night and his drum solo.. all epic
You need to dig WAY deeper into the WS catalog.. that iteration pales in comparison to the 1987 lineup.. Dave's voice is a shadow of what it used to be (sadly), and this song is waaaay down-tuned to accommodate
Way down tuned . Its E flat . Or D at most depending the song . His screams still around G5 and A5 most of the time . Try it the way he does it , you 'll realize that still pretty high . Its in 5th octave. Sometimes C 6 with extra compression I don't know if you realised he s a deep baritone , but if at sixty something he needs a bit to rest in his current confort zone with a lower tuning , there s nothing scandalous here , its normal Still songs like Slow & easy verse even half step lower are still Tough to belt out . You guys don't know of what you re talking . Also David Coverdale was in Deep Purple in 1973 -1976, did 2 solos records in 1977/1978 , Whitesnake started in 1978 and made like 8 records before 1987 . But some so called whitesnake fans, american mostly continue to choose to ignore that fact and David wasnt a 20 something old guy popping suddenly in 1987 .
This song was released twice by the band. This version is essentially the '87 version from their self-titled release. The "original" version was released years earlier back when the band had Micky Moody and Bernie Marsden as the guitar players. It was a bluesier, grittier and had a dirtier edge to it. Check out that older version and you'll see what I'm talking about.
saw whitesnake at donnington in 81 AC/DC headlined but did not come on stage til 11 after they had to follow AC/DC were still amazing but so were Whitesnake
This rhyme at the beginning is oook : 0'28"... Ahah brava Suzi ; like the expression of Travis that are incredible around 0'32"... Ahah this is talent . 1'34" Very impressive pronounciation Suzi ! 1'52"-1'53" I don't know you in person but i don't think so ! 2'42" What is the most important it's that seems and it is spontaneous like it can be the most in that kind of situation and that is the cherry on the cake alias priceless . This drummer is a monster i think he is Brian Tichy and look at his kit . It inspired to Bonzo's One of Zeppelin . 6'00" Dear wonderful Trav around 6'00"- 6'05" you recreates the drum roll in a goood way ! In my video visual and sound of Whitesnake are not coordinated ! Yes for like a quarter of second but for the eye is visible and easily expecially if you play (or try ahah) or you enjoy music... 6'29" Travis i am very pleased of all your phrases ! 7'01" Guys 💝 When you are happy i smile . 7'27"-7'50" This is a great piece of music and the sounds of guitar i think are original ! 8'05"-8'10" You feel the music !
Try doing a little bit of research on the stuff you play.. the drummer is Brian Tichy who's standing in for the legend that is Tommy Aldridge, and the vocalist is David Coverdale, it only takes a few minutes people
Ihave this BlueRay . very beautiful visual!!👍🤩
This is the 80s ! Where bands can play live without autotune! People today are missing out on the passion !!!
nothing to say... world class
Their older music is much better than anything they did in the late 80s and early 90s. First album I bought was slide it in and it’s still on my playlist 40yrs later
Saw the late 80's version of Whitesnake twice live and they were great.

David Coverdale was in Deep Purple, of course he can sing!
Please try forevermore live in 2011, it's an absolute classic of a song. You will not be disappointed, it has everything!
May be Brian Tiche on drums, not sure, but it's usually Tommy Aldridge whom is a real beast even in his 70s.
It is Brian Tiche on drums. Tommy Aldridge was the one who 'set the tone' for this song and others on the 87 album and future albums. He's just incredible on the drums!
Enjoyed watching you have some fun with that one!
Best of British metal right there! ;-)
I saw Whitesnake live at the Summer Stage at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J.. This video doesn't even do that drummer justice. He is an absolute machine. If thunder had a cousin, it would be him.
I love Whitesnake! I'm in such a good mood right now 😀🤘
My band, number 1👌👌 from Portugal👏😌
Hair Metal!!! their self titled album is one of my all time faves. "Still of the Night" will always be in my top list.
In the first few seconds of your videos (intro), it looks like Travis is ready to grab his stuff, as he pivots and turns to walk the other way! Total command of the stage!

I say it again and thousand times more.. Deep Purple - Burn (live California Jam 1974)..
Still of the night 💯💯👏👏
"Fool For Your Loving" was recorded by Steve Vai when he was in Whitesnake.
Yes, they rereleased Fool For Your Loving on the Slip of the Tongue album in 1990 but it was originally recorded on the Ready An' Willing album from the early 80s and had a more bluesy sound to it. Less rock. Still sounds great but just a different version.
@@DavidLender i prefer the original non Vai version

Saw them in Southern California 2 years ago. Still amazing
and all British shocker!
Yes, yes and yes. This is great.
The 1990 live version in Donington with Mr Vai on the guitar is epic
Love steve
Please consider reacting to "Judgment Day". You will not be disappointed
Best video of this song is DC and the Original Lineup of Whitesnake in the late 70's, video is on RUclips.
this is my signature tune so behave
Travis and Suzi
I have a suggestion: try Coverdale and Page. David Coverdale and Jimmy Page collab on an album.
Deep Purple Burn when he was in his prime. Or older Whitesnake needed. Another good British Band.
Pleas react to Whitesnake late 70s/early 80s. That´s when they wew at their best and Coverdales voice was at its best.
When was this recorded These guys can still bring down the house.
Please do Forevermore from the live in Japan DVD, an absolute classic.
Listen to Still of the Night
Please check out the song forevermore from this live. This is awesome !!!
React to Still of the night live 2004
Good old Whitesnake ...
You need to dig WAY deeper into the WS catalog.. that iteration pales in comparison to the 1987 lineup.. Dave's voice is a shadow of what it used to be (sadly), and this song is waaaay down-tuned to accommodate
@Erik Lidström one of my very favourite albums
Way down tuned .
Its E flat .
Or D at most depending the song .

Their singer was in Led Zeppelin but can't remember if guitarist or drummer
Listen to Still of the Night from Live in Donington 1990

Got on dvd
The original video for this song has Steve Vai as the lead guitarist.
The original video for this song has Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody on guitar, they did actually write the song with Coverdale.
And over 60 here
Yeah a f***" beast!! Brian Tychy on drums! Check one of his led zeppelin covers ;)
I love that song but I do have to say that I was bummed that the singer didn't go and stay in his high range like in the original. Still a banger.
Yo checkout White Snakes In The Still Of The Night. Its a banger in more ways than you KNOW 💘 🔥🤜😁
Another great British band getting the drift already?
You think Coverdale sounds amazing here? Nothing against him his prime. You should check out more Songs outside of newer Live Versions.
React to "Building The Church" live by Steve Vai.
mejor es la versión en Londres 2005 . Coverdale alcanza notas más altas en esta canción
i have that shirt. 150 au later. i would never part ever
you guys need to do liliacs new one,,hate myself for lovin you...rock on
I'm sorry guys but lead singer from the family band Liliac could do that as a great cover.
Try doing a little bit of research on the stuff you play.. the drummer is Brian Tichy who's standing in for the legend that is Tommy Aldridge, and the vocalist is David Coverdale, it only takes a few minutes people
