In any case, I’m excited that Revzilla picked up on the bike, so more attention to the accessories will be given (especially the daytime running lights)

As a Ducati owner with a bike that has the QS, you gotta bang it up the gears, but it's smooth if your moving along not slow, takes a little time to get used to it. Great way getting into the ADV market from Ducati now they can start fine tuning it to riders feedback.

I would not add risers to this bike. It was perfectly comfortable to stand up on. One of the biggest misconceptions is that you need to be able to stand up completely straight (which I actually could do with the stock risers) on ADV bikes. A more aggressive position actually allows for better leverage and feel in my experience.

The gist I'm getting is that it's not the best at 1 thing, but its the best bike that can do many things. i.e. if you can only have 1 bike, this is it

Good review. What options are out there to tune and squeeze more power outta that twin?

Ducati has a full system exhaust and tune which cuts weight and bumps output ( both toque and hp) by roughly 7%.

The Ducati Desertx is like a very fit supermodel among housewives - BMW GS (And I used to own one🤭).

Is the seat height adjustable like the tiger 900 ? good review, Keep up the good work.

It is fixed, there are 3 seat height options 87,5 cm (stock one) 84 cm and 89 cm (rally single piece) a kit to lower further the seat is work in progress

The full breakdown of the seat is in the article. The seat isn't adjustable. There is a short seat as well as a lowering kit for the suspension. But even with the lowering kit and the low seat, it barely gets lower than the stock Triumph seat in the low position. Check out the full breakdown here: www.revzilla.com/common-tread/2022-ducati-desertx-first-ride-motorcycle-review

@@SpurgeonDunbar yep. T 900 low seat setting is at a comfy 810. Quite an oversight by Ducati, they could've a lot more errrm...vertically challenged customers here in Asia if they had included such a feature. I tried the T 900 rally with the standard setting and i was on tip toes but was able to manage until there was an incline and had to push the bike in reverse, then the weight became apparent! anyhow i'll wait for a display bike atleast so I can get a feel for the height and weight, but I am smitten by its looks and there are too many tigers in my riding group already so, I dont want to add another one.
