My Epiphone Emperor Swingster: It was all going so well!

- Long story short... My family got me an Epiphone Emperor Swingster for my birthday from GAK, it arrived and was fine until I noticed some issues with the binding on the neck coming off. Not good! So I arranged for a return and this is what happened....

I have the Chinese Epiphone Casino and the USA made one. As good as the Chinese ones have become, there still lacking in the Electircs and pickups, Tuners, nut, Bridge. There a fun project, plus i am happy to gig with one.

@@blutonemusic The USA one is on a different level. Fit and finish are bang on. Its like jumping into a posh car. I would not take it busking thou, that where the Chinese one fits in.
@@marccarter1350 Yes, I agree about the busking element for expensive guitars. Mine wasn't too expensive and I got a good deal on top of that. So I have good tone, nice looks and something that is fun to play. It has taught me a thing or too as well which I like.

Thanks ! Well I have purchased this guitar because I specifically wanted the big single cut jazz box. Historically I did have an Epiphone 335 The Dot, but whilst they are lovely guitars, I didn't connect with it. This one I did! So I think the Sheraton worth trying out but I haven't tried one yet to be able to comment. I get lovely tones and the Swingster looks damn cool. What can I say? 🙂

Hi Paul - thanks for the comment. I used a Boss Nextone Artist. I have to say that this amp has really changed my thinking regarding valve versus transistor amp and of course it is also light to carry. Really nice amp with the power to work within a band setting.
bra ya should a used the humbucker in stead of da single coil setting
Thanks for your comment but this guitar doesn't have a single coil setting but it does have the ability to switch between parallel and series mode.
What effects were you using? Sounds great!
I was using the reverb on my Boss Nextone amp! I may have had a compressor on it but it doesn't sound like it.
I’m so new to all things guitar that I don’t even know what a compressor is or what it does 😂. Thanks for the reply
Best put straight into amp first.
