Top quality content! Good job Robert. This is so awesome, I’m sure you were like a kid being able to set everything up with your own gear and aux gear. Good video man!!!!
Robert, every time I watch one of your videos I feel like Brad Pitt in Troy after he pierces the sword into that big guys neck "IS THERE NO ONE ELSE?!" Is there anyone else on youtube with content at this level? I need to know, cos I've learned more in a week than I have in years. P.S would love to know more about your journey as a filmmaker from when you first started getting into it until where you're at now. Keep this up, you are appreciated!
Hello there! I own three cheap light stands each element is 5600K 4x45 Watts/Fluorescent bulbs. Softbox is 15x25' Is that enough to shoot a scene with a subject sitting on a counch in his living room getting a moody tone for a commercial? What I might need to get the best results? Thank you in advance and thank you a lot for your videos, you are amazing!!
Hey man my friend and I are starting a youtube channel based on tips for camera assistants. similar to grip tips. Any tips for getting started? does the name Camera Assist sound good?
Love your videos. However the irony of the $15K to maybe have your commercial get noticed is that my friend who does immigration consulting gets around $10K for about a few hours of work.
OK, that's the problem. You went to film school. That's why you're not connecting with your audience. You're trying to be Parker Walbeck, but Parker didn't go to film school. He understands the struggle of working your way up from the very bottom and knows exactly how to help people through that. You see, 99.999999% of your potential audience on RUclips didn't get all this info dumped on them at film school like you. They have no idea what you're talking about and you're not teaching. You're just bragging. You're making people jealous, which is good, but you need them to like you and respect you as well. Start making videos that TEACH people how to get great shots and become a mentor. That's what RUclips is for. You know what you're doing and clearly have skill: don't speak in Greek. Connect with your audience.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing your process and experience working on the commercial. You guys did a great job!

Makes me miss going to the movie theater
I'm so proud of you Robert.
bro pls keep doing videos like this!
Awesome opportunity. thanks for sharing that!
Damn. How is 15k allocated on a set like this?
Damn! Nice breakdown. Glad I found you.
Did you use one camera for filming behind the scenes?
What did your electrical setup look like? I always wonder about this especially when someone has an M18 on set since that thing drains 1800 watts!
Used house power. We were diligent on which circuits were being used.
Nice!
