    the piece you take out is the valve CORE, the stem is what stays in the tire

    thanks! this really helped me understand the positioning of where the tire should be when dismounting and mounting, everything was good about this demonstration except that your not supposed to leave your arm and hand over the tire while inflating it to seat the rim. if the tire is defective it can blow the side wall and cause personal injury.

    Thank you. This one video answered all the questions I had about the tpms and tire swapping.

  • @andrewmaez888
    @andrewmaez888 3 года назад

    So you can remove/swap TPMS without taking tire completely off rim? once bead is broken and tire compressed(@ 1:30 mark) it almost looks like there is room to remove TPMS

    Remember when demonstrating this technique do not bang on the TPS monitor with your crowbar too hard, just a light tap.

    Why don't the sensors have replaceable batteries? What a rip-off.

    What about band type sensors?

  • @wdareczek
    @wdareczek 10 лет назад +3

    The sensor should be placed at 5 o'clock compared to the arm of the machine.

    • @jamessteffen2215
      @jamessteffen2215 Год назад

      No. Not unless you’re putting the tire on. Then it’s at 5.

    I'm real curious why you bother to take the valve stem out unless it's just a matter of habit. But generally speaking if especially when TPMS if the stem is good the court should be fine
    My issue about it is this you don't need to remove the cord to get the air out, yeah sure in a shop you do that cuz the air comes out a lot quicker I get it. But someone at home on their machine at home or even their mechanical from harbor freight following these safety directions for the location of the TPMS

    How much could someone make working with these? Taking the tyres off the car, doing all this, putting the weights on and putting the tyres back on the car? How much would you get for a moth's work?

    • @Fearless1247
      @Fearless1247 8 лет назад

      I do this plus oil changes and batteries and get paid $10 /hr xP

    • @HoboTheMan
      @HoboTheMan 8 лет назад

      I did this, taking/putting the actual tyre on the car (Don't know if that's actually part of the gig), put weights on the tyres, fixed defective tyres, fixed the rims whenever it needed it, washed the wheels and so on.
      Got paid 90 bucks/week working 8:00-17:00 mon- fr, 8:00-12:00 sat. So 49h/week, every week.

    It's not a bad idea to change the battery on the TPMsensor while the tire is off

    • @Masterman5010
      @Masterman5010 8 лет назад +1

      Uummmm one can not "simply" change the battery from the sensor, the battery is part of the sensor and the while rite will need to be removed for this process

      +Matt Roulston u must be one of the special kids that goes to tech school or something... because y would u need fucking ear and eye protection wen mounting a tire.. never. and who cares if his hands on it its not like hes filling it up with 80 pounds of air

      @MattRoulston 9 лет назад +3

      +Smitty Jonson I don't even remember writing this lol. but I don't give a fuck where you are if your doing something that could potentially be dangerous in the workplace proper PPE should be worn. I hate people who think their badasses and won't wear protection cuz they think it's not needed or its annoying. I hope those people get hurt because I don't wanna be held responsible when I'm running a job and one of my guys gets injured due to lack of safety.
