@@persistentlypathetic6820 That would be a wasted pick in my opinion. He has shown over and over again (in conferences that don’t play defense).. that he is only good against bad teams that don’t play defense. The moment he has to play an even mediocre defense.. he gets shut down completely. There have been several Heisman winning QB’s that were overhyped during their careers until the combine came along and then they were found out.. and more still that somehow faked it through the combine but got exposed once they were in the league and playing. And the same exact thing would have happened in last year's chip if he didn't get injured, it just wouldn't have been as extreme as it actually was in reality. USC's defense was somewhat adequate (especially with the pick 6 that gave them a temporary lead), but they didn't adjust for Barnes using his legs against them, and that's on both Alex Grinch and Riley as well. Williams gave USC a chance to win this game. Utah couldn’t stop him. What failed was the Trojan defense couldn’t stop a back-up QB and a so-so offense.
WRONG! Williams lost USC the game BEFORE the defense even got a chance to by completely buying into Utah's BLATANTLY OBVIOUS bait to let/get him to immediately score ASAP, after they accidentally flubbed the kickoff return; giving Utah (w/ all 3x of its timeouts) ALLLLLLL the time they needed to make a game winning field goal. 🤷 All Williams needed to do to win the game for USC basically guaranteed was kneel it at the 1 instead of immediately running it in and then just let the team run at least two full clock draining plays before punching it in on 3rd or 4th down at the latest (and ideally on 2nd or 3rd, so you wouldn't have to risk everything on a do or die 4th down play and would still drain enough clock to pretty much ice it). 🤷

Caleb Williams should write Utah Utes on his fingernails. Won’t even get up to say good game. Pathetic.
He's a total punk and hasn't won shit lol
He is the most overrated player in college football. I would bet money that he isn’t taken before the 3rd round and is out of the league in 3-5 years tops.
@@darthsilversith667he's definitely going in the first round. Likely #1
He didn’t get up to say good game at the end? At home? Not like fans were storming the field.
Just call it a hunch based on stats and observations.. but I don’t think Williams will be good NFL QB. He’s predictable, arrogant and a diva.. he’ll fit right in until he isn’t winning.. and that will be sooner than later.
Utes win their 4th in a row against USC and Williams goes 0-3 in his career against them.
To his credit he got injured in their second meeting last year. Before his injury he was dominating them.
Makes you think how he handles pressure. Norte Dame and Utah own him
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣@@JRKA
@@JRKAwould’ve lost anyway. USC had a double digit lead with like 5 minutes remaining against Tulane, and still lost.
@@JRKAAbsolute fucking horseshit 🤷. He can't sustain that level of play throughout an entire Utah game even if he DOES stay healthy! See both this and last year's regular season games.
He started hot in this game too, EXACTLY like in the Pac-12 Championship Game, only to hit an absolute fucking WALL when Utah's defense finally woke the fuck up and got it together. And the same exact thing would have happened in last year's chip if he didn't get injured, it just wouldn't have been as extreme as it actually was in reality.
The only difference Caleb Williams not getting hurt in the Pac-12 Championship Game makes on its outcome is a closer score between the two teams. (As Alex Grinch's defense would still have been torn to absolute fucking shreds by Cam Rising & Dalton Kincaid REGARDLESS of what happened to Caleb!)
Aka, even if this hypothetical make-believe reality, Utah still wins the chip by over a possession (think ≈10 points), although it's nowhere near the absolute utter BEAT DOWN margin that we actually got in real-life. 🤷
Nothing has made me happier in the last 7 days than this loss for usc. Maybe the media will stop meat riding Caleb Williams and usc, he is not everything they try to sell him as.
He is trash and he will be trash in the nfl with the big boys

USC's defense was somewhat adequate (especially with the pick 6 that gave them a temporary lead), but they didn't adjust for Barnes using his legs against them, and that's on both Alex Grinch and Riley as well. Also, Caleb Williams was trying to pad his passing stats after having that bad week at Notre Dame, and DIDN'T use his legs as much as he should've to help out USC (like Barnes unselfishly did with Utah).
@@alakbar7870I suspect Williams didn't want to run against Utah because of nightmares from last year's conference championship game where Utah hurt him. He played scared, not selfish.
USC has to win to get bowl victories. They lost to Tulane in their last bowl game.

A good bet Riley is gonna peace out to the NFL before his 10-ply team gets exposed weekly & his stock as a “QB Whisperer” is understood to be more the result of playing bad defenses.
Utah deserves a lot of credit. And their physical brand of play is a nice preview of USC’s future.
Imagine if USC didn’t agitate to blow up the PAC12. They could continue playing & beating up on mostly soft, mostly bad defenses in sunny/warm conditions.
Instead they lobby to leave & blow-up the conference where they had every advantage to dominate. So they can look forward to this kind of physicality (that they struggle with)…but in much worse weather!

This is the difference between a team and a bunch of individuals. USC tells their players they are on their own for their NIL deals. Ah yes. Chicago Bears is definitely where Caleb Williams belongs.
All Williams needed to do to win the game for USC basically guaranteed was kneel it at the 1 instead of immediately running it in and then just let the team run at least two full clock draining plays before punching it in on 3rd or 4th down at the latest (and ideally on 2nd or 3rd, so you wouldn't have to risk everything on a do or die 4th down play and would still drain enough clock to pretty much ice it). 🤷
Makes my week when USC loses 😂
