- We take a look at the RX 7900XTX in Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Demo to see how the game runs and its kind of allover the place. I do hope things can improve with the live version of the game but I'm concerned.

yeah , i was dipping down into the 20s and sometime high 10s with the high settings preset inside the city with an RTX 3060M and a ryzen 7 5800H , i did notice that the game is very CPU bound a lot of times in my case even when putting to everything to low
I couldn't even login and I tried good 50 times by now.
Side note: hope you do a 6800xt video as well. I would love to see how it performs in this game.
It was pretty bad yesterday, I couldnt log on either. I kept trying and trying multiple times and eventually got on. Seems like engaging in racing events requires a server connection of some sort too because I kept getting server error as you can see in this video.
Lmao I literally just came back from vacation to watch the 7900xtx become a 1440p card. Yay for ''progress''... Also what's with the insane aliasing, I know some pretentious D-bag would call it abstract art or some nonsense like that but come on 😂

I'll be fair because the game doesnt release until 3 months later I think so hopefully they can spruce it up a little lol.
I had so many errors I couldn't even get into it yet. So I'm watching your video instead.
If you keep trying enough you do eventually get in but yea its pretty bad. Hopefully they address this when the game goes live and this demo can act as a beta test.
Based on this it looks like I am CPU limited even though it shows the GPU at 100% for me. I get about 20-30% less fps, but it makes sense since I don't have the 7800X3D. I haven't had many server errors thankfully but I also haven't played too much. Also my game is always set to night time for some reason, in your video it looks much better in the day time imo, apart from the world being so empty and lifeless.
It's very CPU heavy this game. I was testing some CPU bound scenarios last night in this twitter thread and in the city center 65 to 70 fps and highways 80 to 100. As for time of day there is day and night. Not sure if it's a server clock thing or what but if you wait and play it long enough the time does change.
Same for me playing with a 6950XT and a 7700X, the GPU is saying 99-100% util but drawing like 80-90W less than it should and going to FSR ultra performance only nets me a margin of error fps gain. In one of the races my fps was dropping into the mid-30s with it sticking around 65-70 in the city normally.
I also had a glitch where it was clearly daytime but it was like there was a darkness filter over the game. You could see shadows, and my headlights did nothing, but it was as dark as night
@@jadadpe3873 The game's insanely CPU heavy. I'll be uploading a CPU focused video for it. I was dropping into the high 40's with a Ryzen 5900X and 6800XT at 1440P with FSR quality. This game will be 30 fps on console unless this is a very very early demo and the final game's much better optimized.
Apparently both 7900 XTX and the 4090 became 1440p GPUs. I really hope they fix their optimization issue. The game is too demanding for what it looks like. Look at the GPU usage in %.
It's insanely CPU demanding too. I was testing some CPU bound scenarios in this twitter thread and in the city center the 7800X3D would bottom out at 65 to 75 fps and in the highways 80 to 100.
Maybe it gets fixed by applying day-1-patch or by the specific driver update
7900xtx and 5800x3d 50 fps (most time) and no 70% gpu usage. guess I need a new pc :\
Nah 5800X 3D is a very good CPU its just this game's an early demo yet to go through proper optimization stage. Even the 7800X 3D can drop in the 60s in some areas in this game. That's crazy.

that fps u have with fsr should be at native if not better, game is good visually but not that good and at 1440p over 100 easily

@@thomaseruchie1262 ye, I had a hunch this game will be an overhyped mess that'll fail to even fulfill basic needs of a racing game ever since the 1st time they're delayed the game from September '22 release, followed by yet another pre rendered trailer that does screw all to do with gameplay shortly afterwards
