Virgin River, I loved it! Looking forward to new episodes of Virgin River. Thank you for another inspiring episode. Have a lovely weekend 🧡🧶 greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
I wanted to thank you for the beautiful music in this episode, I so enjoy this channel and the goodness and beauty of the content you produce only keeps getting better.
In my town, Powassan Ontario, they film at least one Hallmark movie a year. It is really confusing coming home after a night shift, turning onto main st and it's Christmas! Makes you question how long you're shift was.
Speaking of Virgin River - I LOVED the book series by Robyn Carr which I discovered ages ago and re-read frequently! I understand the series is kind of loosely based on it (I do not have Netflix, so have not watched it). I really love book 4 of the series, which is set in a little hut in the mountains around christmas time - really recommend it!
Thank you Kay and Dan for another enjoyable episode. Thanks also for your free Angel Hat pattern which I plan to use for charity knitting so the kindness ripple continues to spread. Best wishes to Briony as she begins her next adventure and to you as you adjust. Loved her framed cross-stitch. Happy creating and continuing good health. Dan, thank you for your brilliant use of background music! I’m hearing impaired and most RUclipsrs don’t know what they’re doing and I can’t hear them speaking…THANK YOU!! As always, a wonderful podcast!!
I just had to say I have loved all the books you've recommended in the yarny book club! I've read all but one so far. I had already seen the 2015 version of "and then there were none", I feel like once you know whodunnit the books aren't quite as good. I'll have to grab a copy of the Christmas Holiday. I love to save the holiday books and really binge on them starting on the day after Thanksgiving. I'm not sure about making it in "america" though, you'd miss out on all the beauty of the Lake District!
There are so many things that I enjoy about your podcasts But what takes my breath away every time is the way you love each other Thank you so much for sharing with us
Thank you for another enjoyable episode. I watch a lot of knitting & crocheting podcasts, happy knitting insomniac here, there have been a quite a few mentions of your patterns across those other channels. I have up until recently matched the amount of cast ons as Kay, till the uninvited tendonitis in the left elbow crashed my party.....
Me: I'm just gonna watch the Bakery Bears to put a dent in my test knit." Cue me and Dan both get misty as Kay describes the playlist gift for her 50th birthday.
I think schjeepes yarn is pronoinced. Sh yep yees. I could be wrong. I always use wooden double points for my socks, knit picks and l9ve my wooden lykke needles as well.
Does it look thicker than any of the sock wools you might have in stash? You could do a 'wraps per inch' test. I use a ruler to wrap the wool side by side for an inch and count the wraps. If there's around 14 wraps, that's 4ply, (sock wool) around 11 wraps is 8 ply (DK). I'm in Australia so we use ply.

They also film a lot of Hallmark movies around Almonte, Ontario, near where I live.
That sounds wonderful Stacey

The weather here in the Bella Coola Valley has been the same. Really hot one day and cool enough to put heat on the next.

It’s such a wonderful playlist ❤️ thank you so much for your comment
Great show as always. If you liked Virgin River then you’ll love Chesapeake Shores. I think it’s slightly better.
Thanks so much Sue!

We are all sure different. I like dpns for all socks, but discovered I pr magic loop for sleeves.
Or it could be set in the mountains of Bella Coola, BC, Canada. Much higher and more rugged than the Vancouver mountains.
Question to anyone. I bought some fingering yarn which label says is sock yarn. Now I’m wondering if what they use might be a dk yarn.
No hun sock yarn is for socks in uk it's a 4ply yarn so knit away on ya socks xxx
