This is priceless. You were the dawn of a new era, giving storm chasing and hurricane intercepting it's concrete foundation. 🖤🌪️🖤

Excellent work Mark. I knew that it would be, but honestly your work is astounding. I love following along and sharing insight on storms and weather in general. I live in the Tampa Bay area and am sure well be crossing paths eventually unfortunately. I've always had a passion for storms myself. Im from NJ and was born 1 month after Gloria. Growing up hearing stories and seeing pictures always drove my passion. The weather is truly astounding. One can get lost and mesmerized in the ebbs and flows of the inner workings of the atmosphere, and when realized how much bigger weather itself is than us we can accept the beauty in the nature of its process. Unfortunately land gets in the way at times, lives are lost, materials, however, memories and ones dreams will ALWAYS remain. Continue to do all that you do! The world needs more like this who make learning, and especially science fun!! 👍👏

Bravo! As someone in the UK who doesn't have to worry about hurricanes I really enjoy watching your daily updates and the annual "Tracking" documentaries. This takes it all a step further and was very interesting in terms of your background leading to the present. Looking forward to the rest of the series, and beyond. Your dedication and enthusiasm is both helpful and entertaining, thanks for everything you do.

You have done a awesome job at this tv series I’ve been interested in hurricanes myself ever since I was little boy on isla palms a block back from the ocean and kept digging up sea shells and my mom told me it was from Hugo I was 7 years old then and I’m 27 now but struggle with spelling and reading or I’d tried to be a weather man or something but instead I weld roll cages for race cars and landscaping

Man!!! Awesome! We have some things in common too. I love weather and astrology; but weather took the lead. Andrew spark my interest as Camille did for you. Lili in 2002 pulled me deeper in weather. In 2004; my teacher was tracking Ivan everyday; but Ivan turned from us in Louisiana. In 2005; Rita was a very bad storm inland where we took shelter at. The winds was roaring and we saw many tornadoes touching down. In 2007; we through Humberto at home. The winds was ripping like crazy. Gustav was the same way like Rita. Then we really didn't have bad hurricanes til Barry in 2019; rode that out in hotel. But wow thats an amazing story and looking forward to more!

I live just a block from HYW 87...that you call the hurricane highway from the still photo . This is my 2nd time watching Eps, 1. I gotta tell ya you did wonders with what you had. I can see PBS or another broadcaster wanting to use this content on hurricanes you just can't find anywhere else. i'm only a dollar patron but it's worth it and then some. When anything pops up ..i'll keep my eye on someone who's willing to go into harms way to get info to keep everyone safe...God's blessing and protecting over your endeavors. Gil

Amazing, can't wait for the next episode. I am fascinated by weather but unfortunately Britain is pretty boring for weather. Its awesome to see how this came to be and welldone you for making a career out of something you love. This should be on Netflix honestly. There's a disturbance in the Atlantic too but NHC aren't rating its chances, they have under rated most systems this season though so im not too convinced it won't do anything 😂

I too have watch that documentary on Camille. I think it was three or four years ago. I don't actually think I've ever seen it talked about but there may be some people that don't realize that the East Coast from Florida all the way up past the Carolinas has its shape because of hurricanes or actually because of the Bermuda high technically that steers the Hurricanes in the same similar paths for a very long time and as you see so many hurricanes go up the coast and follow the coastline almost perfectly because they've been doing that for a long time and it has shaped the coast
