Wow. I know that these videos are crowdfunded, but for those who don’t chip in to the patreon, you should put at least some ads in these videos. An incredible amount of effort seems like it went into this video, and it definitely deserves having some ads.
Yeah man, really meant to post on first episode but wth. Laying out your early interests showed me I was not alone in both music interests & storms! You did a great job with this series ( and your daily updates in the season!). Music is really well-done! Thanks to peeps like you, all us more inland ( Big D here) can see these beasts. Really great set ups with cameras & seeing your ideas come to fruition- it's fascinating to watch from the armchair! Bravo, bravo!
Thank you! I still have three episodes to go to finish season one and hope to have them posted by December 1. Then, it’s on to season two which will be spectacular!
I know it’s after the fact but I wonder why he decided not to go to the Bahamas??? The Bahamas seemed to be the one certain thing about Dorian. I personally think he missed a great opportunity to get information and data from Dorian.
Hi! I love the series, but on this episode, I felt like it lacked context. Dorian was history on the making as it made its changing way through the Caribbean, but you didn't include any kind of context about it along with your steps to get it. I can tell where your were every day, but not where Dorian was at that time, or what cat it was, or how it changed its course. You didn't even mention the 36 hrs stall over Bahamas, or the record winds it hit there. All that missing information sort of dimishes your own effort to track it and get data from it, and I don't think that's fair to your own work.
@@Prelooker Truth be told, the only one diminishing his work here is you. Do not discredit the value of something based on the fact that YOU clearly half-assed watched this video. @@user-rm5ul5ju6i Sorry if I watched this thinking it would be about the hurricane. But looks like this channel is just a fanclub. Dorian was a record-breaker, historic hurricane, , second only to hurricane Allen and tied with Wilma and Gilbert in the Atlantic. It was also the strongest to ever hit Bahamas. It leveled several islands, destroyed whole towns and thousands of structures. Left hundreds of missing/injured/dead and thousands of homeless. So yeah, when I watch something about Dorian, the last thing I'm interested in is a bunch of guys flying around Puerto Rico and Florida in sunny days to end up recording a few feet of storm surge from a cat 3 in the Carolines.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the cabins out on Cape Lookout not even a week before Hurricane Dorian hit that area... from what we heard, the bay there completely emptied out over the islands, and many of the wild horses out there were swept out to sea and killed 😭 the cabins we stayed in still aren't finished being repaired. One question... why don't you just ship the camera boxes to these various locations and have your supporters set them up, rather than flying all the way there?
No offense Mark but I hope to never see you coming to my town to work.
i think no one wants to see mark for work
Thank you Mark for what you do out there.

Valid points. Much appreciated that you took the time to spell it all out. Helps for future episodes.
