      You are welcome, haven’t heard anything about what markets the T8 will be in. I know China has the largest range of models and some users got the T8 Pro a few months. If you search Alibaba.com you may be able to find the T8 and T8 Pro with the self emptying bin and vibrating mopping module.

      I'm in the UK too. There's an Ecovacs fan club group on Facebook (search for "Ecovacs Fan club" on Facebook). You have to be approved to join but if you don't want to then on 20th July someone in the group asked about US availability for self-empty bin and vibro-mop and an Ecovacs official account replied 1 week ago - "Hi, it will go to global market soon, stay tuned". My hope is that the sometime-in-August date that Nathan heard for the USA might be the global date including UK/Europe or, if not, then we (in the UK) won't be too far behind.
      I don't think it's worth me posting a link to the Facebook post because it won't work to a private group but if you do join that group then just search the group for "stay tuned" which I think only returned 2 hits one being the official Ecovacs reply mentioned above (but I copied the whole reply above anyway).
      Hope that helps.

I've noticed today, that it's now for sale on Amazon UK, with OZMO Pro mop for £791.01. Unfortunately, it's not from Ecovacs. I think I'll wait until Ecovacs give it full UK support before taking the plunge. Plus, I would want the Auto-Empty station.

My other requirement is that I want to see replacement dust bags listed somewhere as an accessory available for purchase - not much point in having an auto-empty dock if, once the two (or whatever) dust bags that come with the unit are used I/we can’t get replacements.

    Great videos on robot vacuums. I just bought the t8. And I have a question regarding the self empty bin add-on. I see in your previous video U were telling the dust bin had opening for self empty bin in the t8 pro and it’s different from the t8. In that case, will the self empty bin work with my t8 if I purchase it separate as a accessory in future?

    • @RobotMasters

    Since it's on sale on PrimaDay, I was wondering can does T8 self empty everytime it finishes or when it's full? Can you stop from doing it when you schedule cleaning? Since toys are cleaned for night at our place, I' like T8 to clean on silent mode at night, but not empty itself. I would schedule empty to when no one is at home.

      If you are on a schedule mode you can temporary pause the robot prevent the robot from going out by enable silent mode. Or it might be called do not disturb mode if I recall. Most of these self emptying bins work well extracting the dirt minus the one you mentioned. Roomba i7+ and s9+ take it a step further by adding the dirt detection sensor and dust bin full sensor to allow the robot to empty itself mid way through the cleaning job. Makes it possible fir the robot to handle crazy amounts of dirt like my 25 lbs rice challenge 😇. Anyways thanks for the support!!!

    So apparently there is no sensor in the waste bin area of the actual robot... so my question is what happens if the house is really dirty and the waste bin in the t8 gets full? Does the robot keep trying to clean with the bin full and damage itself?

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад

      The robot will continue to clean, eventually the debris may end up end the extractor bar area and shut the robot down. There sensors that prevent the robot from damaging the motors.

    I had to return my T8s. They were frustrating. They would get confused way to easy and randomly start cleaning another part of the house. It would not recognize the charge base sometimes. WoW very well thought out review. I can relate to some of the issues, like the robot not finding its charging station. I had issues adding the self emptying bin charging station location after swapping out the old charger. The Roborock S6 MaxV has the better navigation and the App integration seems to be better. Let me know how you like it after using them for a bit. Always open to feedback and I can forward the information to the robot companies.

    I think these would clean much better if they slowed down the drive wheels and side brushes. The Neato goes slow but my t8 zooms around like a race car. ECOVACs should address this.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  3 года назад +1

      Robot Masters I like the t8 but my biggest two complaints are the brushroll is too soft and doesn’t groom carpet as well and the speed. That might be the reasons for me to return it. I love everything else about it though. Mine doesn’t have the vibrating moping pad however. I wish I had that but I love the self empty bin and it does seem to work well.

    Tease, tease, tease with the high end, non-roomba vacuum with a clean base, but it's always only available through back door channels. When and if it ever does come to the US, it will be as expensive as Roomba S9. I wonder if they'll be able to sell it at that price. Roomba is a well-known name in the US, but Ecovacs is not.
