@Uztakfuer in that race he eas quicker to massa about 50 secondes at the end of the race! He was close to 1 lap down at the moment!
Michael had spatial awareness, track knowledge, fast reaction times, car control, and raced to win. Supreme driver.
Michael supreme driver indeed. Not even Alonso reach that level because Alonso need fastest car and some luck to win agaisnt Michael with inferrior car. Thats how Alonso won in 2005 and 2006.
This is one of Michael best race despite not winning. He was almost 1 lap down after punture but still finished 24 seconds off the winner at the end.
Frikking Fischella ruined a perhaps amazing win.
exaclty. I was there...When he left the pits, after changing tyres due puncture, he was almost one lap behind Massa. When he left the pits Massa was already entering the backstraight....amazing recovery, without any SC intervention from that point to the end.

I remember the GP of Spain in 1996... in full rain... I remember a red ghost emerged from the haze and began to overtake everyone. It was something incredible, it seemed he had the rails under the whells. That day I realized, I understood, that Michael Shumacher had something, a gift, that no one else possessed.

Here Fisichella broke his tire, when he overtaked him. He lost almost one lap after that. He drove almost whole lap with broken tire,. When he returned from pit stop, He came just in front of Massa who lead the race. That happened in 8 lap of 71. At the end He climb up to 4th place with 24 seconds behind the leader Massa. That's why this race is one of his best.
had he started from pole, he'd have likely lapped everyone in this race. on race pace, he destroyed the field.
He's fastest in Q1 & Q2 before a fuel pump issue forced him to start P10. His engine blew for the first time since France 2001 at Suzuka the race before. What could have been...

I had tears in my eyes, this was his last race (he came back later) but this was his prime. What a race, he was like 15 at the beginning of the race and he ended 4th.
Definitely, one of his best races. Absolute maximum speed!

Yes I agree he would have been first if it weren't for all of the bad luck in that race he basically lapped everyone then a flat tyre cost him the win he RIGHTLY DESERVED.
The pole position lap at Monaco in 2012 was probably the best thing Schumacher did in F1. Considering the 7 titles, all the wins in the rain, the tremendous overtakes and all the pole positions he took in his entire career, it says a lot about that lap. Swimming pool turn with 1 hand in 2012 pole is the best thing ever seen

He made it look easy and while the car clearly had the horsepower to pull off these manoeuvres, he was riding on a razor's edge to squeeze out every bit of advantage. All the while not being consumed by the activity. Ross Brawn once said that Michael always sounded very calm over the radio even in the most demanding situations, as if he were sitting at a desk in a neighbouring room, compared to others who sounded tight and out of breath. Amazing that he takes a hand off the wheel at 2:30 to gesture to a slower driver. :)

The switchback on both BMW’S at the beginning was absolutely superb. And towards the end the guy who braked late and went off track cuz he saw the red Scuderia Ferrari Power on the way.. Michael, simply the best
