    Always do that initial oil change at 1000 miles. The reasoning is because you want to let everything break in(to sum it up) and then get those metal shavings from that process out of the system. Then id do it at 5k miles, some guys say 3k then 5 but honestly, if you do the break in process correctly you shouldnt have any extra shavings to worry about.
    Some guys stick a magnet on their oil pan close to the drain plug but i think thats counter productive, youre just keeping some of those shavings in pan to be cycled in with the second change. Let your filter handle those through the break in

    It used to be 10 quarts of oil. I remember seeing it for my Mustang and had a screenshot of it. Then I checked recently and ford updated it to 9.5 qts. If I didn’t check I would have done all 10 lol

    It should be 9.5 of oil added and .5 of a quart per filling oil filter.

    1st oil change on Brand New Cars is done " Usually " in 2 different methods. For Performance Engines 1st Oil and Filter Change is done at 5000 Kilometres. For Non Performance Engines it's done at 7,500 Kilometres. Coyote Engines Takes 9.5 Litres of engine oil ( Factory Fill ) how comes come's out after Oil is drained is unclear. The " BBQ " Tick in Mustangs happens the engines that run on 5W-20 Engine Oil ( Usually ). Is the Motorcraft 5W-30 Engine Oil any good ?

    Nice video again! What is the ticking caused by and does it only happen when you change the oil or can it happen at any given time?

    Because it’s a guy that I think lives up north where it’s salting and nasty from snowy conditions and he had a lot of premature damage to the inside body of his 24 mustang gt. Like premature wearing of aluminum components down to bear metal

    • @daily_driven
      @daily_driven  6 месяцев назад

      I went back and filled it to pretty much 10qts. It’s on the full line of the dip stick so we should be good. It is weird though the manual only says 9.5 but everywhere else you look says 10.

    If starts ticking, take too the dealer. That’s what the warranty for.

    • @coastalparasail
      @coastalparasail 7 месяцев назад +3

      If that does end up happening the dealerships are no help , all they’re gonna say is that’s a natural characteristic of the coyote engine 💀 hopefully the Gen 4 coyote’s don’t have that issue though. I know they did fix a few issues with the 10r80 so hopefully they fixed that issue as well
