You don't argue about things like this. You tell them the facts. If they issue you a bill, you don't pay and tell them you'll see them in court. You never communicate with them again. 99% of the time it's the last you'll hear from them. If it isn't, you 'see' them in court and win. If you spend more than 10 minutes on problems like this you're doing it wrong.
Sounds very frustrating! I see your blood pressure tester on the table there. I hope this isn’t causing too much stress for you, and everything gets resolved soon. Also, I’m sure the collections people can be even more frustrating because they would be even less likely to have information or even care.
Ups invented customs charges that bore no relation to cost. Paid it anyway as was better than losing it. Then they couldn't find the payment so wanted me to pay again despite showing the payment reciept from ups. Debt collection came along and actually were very good to deal with, looked at all the evidence and closed the case for me.
Sounds like me on a daily basis 😅 I’ve come to the conclusion the ineptitude is intentional, on a global basis, to finish us all off. You need to find a beach to walk on and unwind. Don’t let the bar-stewards get you down 👍
I returned a faulty (brand new) camera, the supplier arrange for UPS to collect the camera and gave me a full refund. UPS then charged me for the return by post? I argued with them, I argued with the supplier. I paid UPS, couldn't be arsed with the hassle, my bill was only £30. Destination was also the Netherlands.
He told you very early on in the conversation that he was unable to deal with your issue at that time. It took you over 5 minutes to ask for a contact number. You made it way overly complex with info that probably just confused him. E-mail UPS and the debt recovery agency explaining in very simple terms that an error has been made, you are not liable and will communicate no further. Have a cup of tea and chillax my friend. Life's too short.
Why anyone anywhere at any time uses UPS for anything is beyond me. Most expensive, least efficient, poorest customer service and on time? Not a hope in hell.
Is this a joke channel ? Sorry but your getting stressed about nothing in particular maybe like me you like a bit of real drama but let them take you to court and sully your credit score then sue the shit out of them no need to talk just send letters as call recordings go missing
Thanks for sharung your experience, hope you resolve it soon

He is actually being very patient and kind
@AbeBF-g6l but that won't work.
Letters and notices will also work to stop this nonsense.

Never try and sort this type of thing by phone. You just get a run-around. Use written media, ideally post with posting certificate.

This world is mad. Example, try call the Social Security Administration and try to do ANYTHING.
