It's a 1.5L 3-cylinder, NOT a 4-cylinder. Everyone always gets it wrong. Same as the Bronco Sport base engine. Do reviewers read the window sticker? Editing?
It’s a great small SUV, loaded with features for a decent price tag. I feel like Toyota and Honda are selling similar featured SUVs at much steeper price premiums. I took a test drive and simply loved the Escape ST line, but had to pass on because of space issues. It is essentially a narrower SUV, with space enough for two grown ups and may be one smaller person in the rear. Having said that - it does offer a really spacious trunk. If you don’t need a bigger SUV, this is definitely the way to go. Ford also offers some great financing options to sweeten the deal :)
My rental was a 2023 Escape ST. I hope that mine's just a fluke, but Apple CarPlay keeps randomly disconnecting (It disconnects less when I keep my phone in my pocket versus on my phone mount with Waze directions readouts) and when I accelerate quickly, the engine temp gauge spikes and it thinks its overheating for a few seconds. This doesn't even include random servo clicking noises while off and also the remote start functionality having inconsistent reliability. Definitely going to make me weary of outright owning one, but I am also open to the idea that mine's just a fluke
Renting this Ford junk from Alamo and I hate it, one thing is the dial parking dial which is fly by wire with no stick. Also the engine does weird things like it down shifts or something making me feel it engine is going to die out when at a stop light. I drive a pristine 2016 Subaru Turbo XT Forester which is AWD that has a normal stick where you can pull back to engage drive etc, as god intended, and I pull 250 HP. Buy Japanese

i own a 2023 ford escape almost the exact escape as that one, but it’s black. but it’s also a 4 cylinder. Really nice car and i 100% recommend

You think you got it bad? Same vehicle is $45000 in Canada 12k more. Our gas price is double, house are in some cases triple.....
