There are a few things I wish they had done differently, but by and large it is a solid improvement. But one stupid decision was to make those covers that go over the front row center charging pad and cupholders glossy plastic instead of open pore wood. That black gloss not only looks cheap but is going to constantly look filthy with finger prints, and smudges and lint and dirt. They should have just used the prior year model's open poor wood, maybe just change the color. That was a stupid decision. And because it will be a constant issue, it is causing me to actually balk at buying one of these. And I've been waiting for the 2025 models. Too bad.
I completely agree. The obsession lately with piano black plastic on high touch surfaces has got to be the worst decision ever made. I'd be removing those pieces and getting them wrapped in a matte finish material. I love the open pore wood of the current generation.
@@ElectricBlueIX I didn't know you could remove and modify them. If easy enough to do, or even replace them, then maybe workable. Had they only made them the same open pore wood, oh well. Love the executive rear seat package, with matching, thicker captain's chairs in the second row. Wish that was available in the AT4 Ultimate too, not just the Denali Ultimate. And I normally don't like brown leather, but this year's brown leather is dramatically nicer than last years, I even like it. Last year's brown leather made the interior look utilitarian or western, but this 2025 brown leather of the Denali Ultimate is much more upscale and luxurious looking. I really like the 2025 black leather with slight red portions in the AT4 Ultimate
@@momamm1 not if you get the lower trim level Escalade. The Escalade leather is inferior until you get to the Platinum trims. You can also upgrade the leather currently on the Sport trim for about $3k. There are additional options that are standard on the Denali Ultimate that are not standard on lower level Escalades. So, for the money, the Denali Ultimate is superior.

@@momamm1 sure. The luxury comes with "inteluxe," which is a synthetic leather/leatherette. Moving up the trim ladder introduces better leather. The Sport trim allows for an upgrade to the Brandy leather, which is listed as full grain (but I think it's actually full-semianaline.) The Sport Platinum and Premium Luxury Platinum come equipped standard with full-semianaline leather. My overall point is that Denali Ultimate comes equipped with tons of options and quality materials that are add ons to the Escalade, as much as I too love the Escalade.
