They both look good, wouldn’t mind either of them in my workshop, however they are out of my price range but you never know I might be able to afford one one day and it is definitely at the top of my wish list 👌👌👍👍👍
Hi Guys, what is the adjustment mechanism for when the drum is no longer parallel with the table? It does happen and I understand is a real pain in the .... to get right again
Do these thicknessers have the feature that allows you to raise the closed side of the table 3 thou to prevent creating a ridge when sanding pieces wider than the drum? Some Laguna Supermax drum sanders have this feature and it looks like these have the same lever, but it wasn’t mentioned in the video. Cheers
This is exactly what I need. Got some really bad advice from a friend whilst making a chess board, and now the surface is ridiculously uneven. But at that price, I think it would come with a free divorce.
my 20" unit turned up today... what a beast!!
now just need to get that 15A power point installed

We can go halves Graham 🧐🤠🍻🇦🇺👍
Unfortunately we might have to draft in more people than just yourself to bring it down to my price range but hold on to that thought 👍👍😂😂😂😂
Now who wouldn't want one of these beasts!
So you say it's not a thicknesser, aye?😏😆
Good job, mate.👍🏽
Quick question, can I use it as a thicknesser?
I hear they do the job of thicknessing really well.
G'day Whitey! From what we are led to believe, the answer is no....Haha....well played mate.
Never ever herd of Sherwood. I do like the dual dust port setup.
Nice kit these sanders but mate your dulcet tone is awesome, career in radio or many more Timbecon ads 🇦🇺🍻👍

I’m curious about this too, Rob.
Yep - I understand this is an issue with type of sander - open end.
With the 500mm what is the max top width you can sand if you rotate it and sand 1/2 and 1/2.
But... can I use it like a thickenesser? 😊
Ok so I scrolled down and as expected this joke has been well taken... I don't care. Comment stands 🤣
To slow James. 😗
Do you ever have any tear out issues using the 16" drum sander?
Can I use this as a thickness planner ?

They can be shimmed easily to do this.
Thanks for your reply, @@timbeconaus ! I'll have to come down and check em out :)
If it's not a thicknesser I'm guessing it's just a scratch applicator?
Thanks Durham. Scratch applicator? Hmmmm. Yes, but they are millions of scratches resulting in a glassy, smooth finish! 👍😉
You have a beard, I must trust you 🤣
Good explain👍🏼

Divorce is never free, mate. One of the reasons it should be avoided. Unlike these Wide Drum Sanders. They should not be avoided! 😉
Remember Kids, this is not a thicknesser, unless if you are a Kiwi and always shim your tools.
