Wow!!! That left hand with the right hand rifts man was great. I truly wish I stuck with the lessons to develop my left hand to make both hands independent like you. Great job.
Playing these runs so fast is just incredible for me. Don't know how all these guys are doin' it... I'm practicing some of these kind of runs on the C blues scale for hours.... I also do finger excercises to strengthen the weaker fingers. But this speed is just incredible...
Herbert Mustermann if you want to know how to use three strong fingers and fly through the f scale . reply.. I do it about 300 bpm.. I can reverse fingers fast also.. I'll text you it.
You are a mad humble cat, that's such a rarity in the gospel industry(Not to mention your a bad cat) this is Mary from OH. You don't know me but you have a fan!!! I have been lookin' for more riffs and I found them thanks man!! Your clip helped alot
I wish the quality of the video were better because your playing is fantastic! It would be amazing if you would record the midi output of your improvs and then post them online.
FINALLY!!!!! I see someone else with an ALESIS keyboard. I bought mine and shortly after, ALESIS discountinued it. Don't get me wrong, I like my keyboard but I tried to sell it and buy a new keyboard... I can't even $50.00 bucks for it.
I would LOVE for you to take some time to do an instructional video so you can spell out what you are playing! I know most Gospel players refuse to share their secrets, but just show us a little more! Great video! May God continue to bless your ministry!!! Psalmist Warren Gilmore (HappieGillie300)
wassup bru. NIce video. I got the same setup. I play the Alesis QS8 with the MO6 i dont have a motif yet. 1 thing i think can help you is that the Alesis arnt good at all so i use a midi cable from the midi out to my MO6 midi input. then i go to my mixer seting on my MO6. So then i can play the MO6 Full Grand on the Alesis and a different sound on the MO6. ima post a video soon on how to do that.
NICE VIDEO AND LESSONS MAN VERY NICE I COMMEND U AND YOUR VIDEO WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND POINTING OUT THE NOTES TO PRACTICE MADE IT CLEARER SO ILL INCORPORATE THAT N2 MY PLAYING CAN U MAKE A VIDEO ON HOW TO GET BETTER WITH YOUR LEFT HAND THAT PLAYS THE LOWER NOTES WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT THX DONN MOGUL IM SUBSCRIBING TO YOUR PAGE 2 THUMBS UP
can you put some fingerings...maybe since Db is so common. I can do the blues scale up and down 1 octave but going all the way down the keyboard I haven't been able to figure out how to turn on the way down.
this is a good video bro.. playing scales came easy for me. but i just still don't know when to do the left hand and what chord to put where under the scales
play the blues scale of f on right hand and chord the f7 then the bflat 7 then back to f. then end on c 7.. now that will sound just a little boring . Now for a boogie..I use it in church all the time. play down two octaves f a c d eb d c a repeat just play that. then gradually get the scale going.. then bb d f g ab g f d bb. now this is the base line for a bb 7 dominant .. it sounds best .. then play the five chord base notes C e g a bb a g e c.. just noodle around with it.. I play about 10 instruments and have put thousands of hours in. but worth it.
Mr Young , you jam ! Your video is what ive been looking for. You calling the notes out ( dflat - c# , e , f# ,g ,aflat , b , c# ) is a ton of help . Could you be so kind in naming all the notes to the solo riffs ?
Na I don't give lesson anymore. Just had a kid so thats taking up a lot of my time. sorry. There is a guy I heard of thats a good teacher named Steve Scott. Search for him on Facebook.
dont forget to be realistic - you'll have to do some work whichever method you choose for becoming a pianist I have spent months researching into how to play piano and discovered an awesome website at Turbo Piano Secret (check it out on google)
What is a player like you doin with and old Alesis keyboard they are bad... I play for my youth and we have the same one I hate it.... I'm a roland guy also prefer the real thing too.. Keep it up God Bless

I don't know what piano sample you are using, but are deaf or your hearing is off. That is the worst sounding sample I have ever hrard!!!!
kenneth c. Landaiche Jr. I don't think the levels were set right there is some distortion .
kenneth c. Landaiche Jr. yeah, the keyboard looks like a high end machine but the piano voice is awful!
lol you said you in the key of dflat.. then say the first note is csharp.. just kinda funny, but naw good lesson man.
