It might be better to watch Fairy Tail before you watch Fairy Tail Zero. The point of Zero was to connect the two time periods in order to better understand how certain things came to be (i.e. Zeref). It goes in depth with things that Fairy Tail hinted at or glossed over. All in all, I believe that Zero came later for a reason
I can't help the cringe at seeing Yuriy, cause his design is so similar to a character that creeps everyone out with his "orgasmic" magic ;-; and per extension, I now cringe whenever I see his "parents" as well. Way to sink a ship, Mashima. Jerza should be grateful for their anchor
