Our deepest condolences on the loss of your grandfather. It's good for you to make a trip home to see your family on Father's Day - perhaps it could be an annual trip to visit family on the West Coast? Your grandfather appears to be a kindly soul & definitely will be missed by everyone who knew him. As always, stay safe in your travels thru'out CA (the beautiful state with the highest gas prices for sure).

Hey Eric... Deepest Condolences for Your lose... Your Grandfather is with Our Father in Heaven and You will all be together someday, for now, just know HE is always with You... NOW as to the California Speedway... I was fortunate enough to do the NASCAR Experience for my birthday 🎉 and actually drove a stockcar (restrictor-plate @150mph) for 14 HOT LAPS around the track with 9 other drivers... it WAS the MOST EXCITING and EXHILARATING THING I've Ever Done (excluding the births of my 3 daughters) ... driving the Banked Track at 140+mph is AMAZING 😉... I was always told that Life Begins at 140mph... that's when the telephone poles turn into 'picket fences'... yeah buddy...!! God Speed My Friend.
Know Eric you are not alone when being far from home as a loved one passes. With my husband in the service we were stationed in CA when my parents passed. I was in Hawaii when my brother was killed in an accident. Feel my hug. Reach out to your family. Make a plan to visit. If it’s Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. I’m still living in San Diego with my husband. My family are on Whidbey Island. Hugs

Eric, just curious, did James Lost Weight?
He did. We both did a public weight loss challenge together start of 2020 and I lost 31 lbs, he lost 33lbs. I gained all mine back now, but he's held on steady.

My deepest condolences, Eric. Sometimes life just smacks you hard. Glad y'all liked the race, and I did see your green cones in a couple shots during the race. Take Hwy 395 north out of California. It gets you into Nevada before Reno, and then heads up through Spokane. Yeah, the 5 is faster, but this is a prettier drive, and more calming. Take care, and may God bless you and your family.

Sorry about your grandpa! I'm behind on videos because my daddy has been in the hospital. He had surgery on his 88th birthday and there have been a few complications! He didn't bounce back like we thought he would. I will say that clips of this race was a lot better than you have done before. I love NASCAR and have only done Atlanta & Darlington. My sister loves Talladega! I know you tried to do Texas but you should try to catch one in Charlotte. You can't beat NASCAR where it's roots began! HUGS~Donna
