    Thanks for the comparison! Sony A7IV owner here. I love the tiny and cute factor of the Fuji X100 VI, and the customizations that come with the jpg film simulations. Love, (really really love), the clicky manual dials for shutter speed, ISO, exposure. I’m imagining the flip up screen would not be so good for vlogging when talking to the camera or selfies, but excellent for covert street photography. I agree it is a beautiful camera, (especially the two tone silver and black). I also like the ability to apply a teleconverter to the fixed lens to make it 50mm. People complain that the auto focus isn’t like a sony camera, and while you are demonstrating excellent IBIS for photos, (1S! Handled) the walking around video stabilization is questionable for me. I’m also concerned that the file sizes of a 40MP photo may be a little much for my hard drive space. I know its an APSC, and no dual card slots, and it is a fixed lens, but as someone who has only owned Sony cameras my whole life, (dabbled with a Panasonic before returning them) I would love to experience the x100V (VI) one day!

      Really appreciate you sharing these thoughts. We are absolutely in agreement, Sony make really powerful cameras that is hard to compete with. There are definitely trade offs with Fuji's much smaller form factor, they are also not as experienced as Sony in terms of video implementation. The main thing for me, about the Fuji, is the form factor. Most other aspects are a bit more limited, but only very slightly. No question, Sony is a professional tool. The X100VI is an super advanced point & shoot camera with pro level abilities. To have that in such a tactile, fun and light package, is work so so much to me. I never go anywhere without X100VI. Highly encourage you to give it a shot, also as a pure photo camera, you could consider X100V, perhaps a better fit for you, with the smaller files sizes?

    I’ve been alternating silver and black over the years (silver now) but the black with the square hood on the x100 looks amazing. I also love the Sony 35 2.8 lens which I have taken some amazing photos with, someone could grab a used Sony a7rii or riii to match the X100 and maybe come out cheaper with full frame. Love both systems though.

      Right there with you, this is exactly the point of the video. One tool does not negate the other, it's not a binary one thing being better than the other. From a value point of view, an A7RII with a 35mm 2.8 Zeiss is a super powerful combination. The Fuji being more compact ofc as a huge point of that camera.

    I've been using the teleconverter on my x100v for some years and the sharpness is exactly the same and I do lot's of cropping in as well. This is the first time I heard anyone say there is decrease in image quality with the converters, maybe it's on the x100vi only?

    • @dailyvlog_thailand
      @dailyvlog_thailand  9 дней назад

      @@heliogenesi if you look carefully at the images I shared from the teleconverter, I labeled them being made with X100F and with the older version of the converter. Yours is type two, correct? The older version did soften the image, but not too badly in my opinion. Personally I don’t have experience with version II, I’ll take your word for it being excellent ✨

    • @heliogenesi
      @heliogenesi 8 дней назад

      @@dailyvlog_thailand Ah yes I got it, yeah it could be the version I or the x100f and version I combination that is softer. Since the lens is updated on the x100v as well, my version II teleconverter works great. I used it a lot for product shoots for clients and cropped the image constantly since even the 50mm FOV wasn't enough I needed something around 80mm. It performed great for a less than ideal setup like that.

    • @dailyvlog_thailand
      @dailyvlog_thailand  7 дней назад

      @@heliogenesi As you pointed out, both the 23mm on camera lens AND the tele converter have been updated since I used the combination, both have been improved greatly by the sounds of it. Not surprised at all that you were able to make this work, even with an extra crop, such a powerful combination. Would you be interested in the X100VI for the extra resolution, or is X100V working out perfectly for you?

    • @heliogenesi
      @heliogenesi 7 дней назад

      @@dailyvlog_thailand I actually bought a x-t5 and 56mm f1.2 last year for the professional work that I do, so no more serious cropping needed but I'm also updating the x100v to an x100vi since I have to pay very little for the upgrade and I like the extra resolution & ibis. I crop a lot at my personal photography as well so x100vi is very welcome as a personal camera.
      It is also going to be nice to have as a second body at on site photoshoots. X-t5 with the tethered flash setup and x100vi setup for natural light ready to go both with the same sensor and resolution.
      A lot of people downplay the x100 series, I have heard from multiple people calling it a toy camera for some reason. I don't understand how it can become a toy camera with it's many bells and whistles just because of a fixed lens, it is super capable and literally payed for itself and plenty more through real client work:)

    Hi, about this resolution;) x100vi has 40mp Sony „only” 33mp but if you crop on Fuji you loose much more sharpness compared to Sony.
    In my case I always take bag anyway so Sony fits also in my Peak Design 3l. So I’ve sold x100vi because it was too limited.

    • @dailyvlog_thailand
      @dailyvlog_thailand  14 дней назад

      It's only about 18% difference in resolution. Lens is and technique is probably a bigger factor in most cameras at this point. If you shoot both cameras on optimal aperture, I doubt you could tell a difference in a blind test. Lets not get cultish with our cameras man, their just tools, we all got different preferences. You got space in your camera pack, I sometimes like to only bring a camera and no bag along.
