Hi Barbara! Our Mica kit comes in black and white, however we also have a Fleck kit that comes in Fleck Black, Fleck Brown, and Fleck Grey: www.rustoleum.ca/product-catalog/consumer-brands/transformations/countertop-transformations-fleck
Purchased you transformation kit black mica. Your instruction included in the kit tells you to sand after the 2nd coat of you base coat dries 12 hours. In you video, it doesn’t??? So which is vorrect
What's the difference between Black Fleck #283855 and Mica Black #290115? Why is Charcoal #258285 not available in Canada? It seems to be far more colourful with all the chips applied with the supplied spray applicator. Is it? Do any of your Ontario dealers have displays where the products can be seen and the texture felt?
Unfortunately the kit can't be tinted, however there are two kits available, the Fleck kit and the Mica kit: www.rustoleum.ca/product-catalog/consumer-brands/transformations/countertop-transformations-fleck www.rustoleum.ca/product-catalog/consumer-brands/transformations/countertop-transformations-mica
We don't recommend the Countertop Transformations kits (Mica, or Fleck) on plywood because the plywood will absorb too much product, yielding uneven results. Hope that helps!
If the painted surface is in sound condition (no major chips or peeling), prep will be the same as for a laminated countertop. Detailed instructions are available in the instructional booklet provided with the kit. If the paint is not in good condition, it will need to be sanded smooth, and all loose product removed before the project is started. Hope that helps!
Why don't you guys sell the countertop paint here in Canada? So annoying. Watched literally 40 youtube videos only to find out that what people in the US are paying $22 for, we Canadians have to pay close to $200 for this? Thats crazy.
Hi JM, while we don't carry the Rust-Oleum Specialty Countertop Coating Tint Base in Canada, we do carry the Countertop Transformations Kit (which the US sells as well). The kit not only includes the paint (base coat and topcoat), but also includes tools that will help you complete the project. You can find the Countertop Transformations Kit at Lowe's, Home Depot, Rona, Home Hardware, and Canadian Tire.
I hope Rust-Oleum is saving huge money on providing the cheapest roller brushes available. The first three feet of my countertop looks like its wearing a sweater….. thanks for wasting 30hrs of my time Rust-Oleum. Sad.
Where can I buy the Rust-Oleum Mica kit? Looked all over online and no one sells it.
are there colored kits.. I noticed one with brownish flecks.. looks like a great product

Thank you . I see a transformation in my near future.

Can you add glitter before base coat?
Unfortunately no. If glitter is applied first, the base coat would cover it completely. Hope this helps!
I’ve seen Glitter top coats, Giani.
Does transformations come in colors or can it be tinted?

very nice
can I use this on plywood

I like it!!
What do i do to prepare a previously painted śerface?
