It could use a cave rat, but it's genius nonetheless. Actually, with a couple of individual ruined wall sections, you can create a long abandoned fortress or ancient outpost. I've been contemplating building a vampire's castle, integral with the mountain it's constructed on. This should be the perfect way to get it done! Well done!

Wow! What do I like best about this modular castle set? Well, of course all the different possible configurations make it invaluable, and a real space saver. Although, what takes it over the top is the flexibility of the aesthetic. I could see using this in D&D (Greyhawk or Feyrun) for human or dwarves, or even Castle Strahd in Ravenloft. It would be equally appropriate for the Daqan Lords of Runewars, and the Imperium of Man in Warhammer Fantasy or 40,000. I'm sure there are many other settings in which this castle set would fit as well. In my opinion, that's true modularity.

That's amazing. I'd love to build something like that, but I probably won't anytime soon. Still it's cool to watch and see what you are making! Awesome! Is that a wire cutter? Interesting.

Thank you Rosa ! Yes it's a hot wire cutter. A super useful tool... at least for me :)

Amazing, just really cool. It would be good to have seen you moving the pieces around to see what the modularity is like. But fantastic all the same

Excellent video. Beginner question on the hot wire cutter: what temperature are you running it? Do you let it run continuously? I'm nervous thinking about how hot that thing can get and personal safety.

Thank you and great question. For free hand cuts it's on setting 2.5. Cuts that are guided and thicker around 3-4. Still enough to burn you if you touch the wire. I use the foot pedal that turns it on and off so it frees up both hands... in my opinion it's an absolute MUST add on from Proxxon!

Hello, I have just found you on Utube. I do Miniatures to actually create interiors. I really appreciate the new concepts on how to model the exterior and the interiors. I have a Question Have you tried using the strung LEDs with the copper wire and the bulbs. Could you use them under the resin-like you did in the sewer project? looking forward to hearing from you. tks Joyce. love your videos.

@@minilisticly Hi Joyce, I'm glad you found the channel ! I'm not sure the exact lights you're referring to. I do have a video coming out soon that might answer your question though... stay tuned :)

How about a drawbridge? Maybe a sewer/dungeon "entrance" tile that you can place anywhere around the castle/ grounds?

Some cool ideas Adam... I like the modular sound of that sewer entrance.

Never thought about using the pillar jig for that , so just went and ordered myself the large set . Since its cut in 2D , nothing says I cant cut and make them as narrow as I want to fit any size piece .

Your videos are just bonkers good. I really need to do a deep dive in some of your older vids to piece together all these various techniques! For now, a quick question: how do you manage the big foam cuts? Say I want to build a scene using a 20x20 inch square of 2-inch foam as the foundation piece. How do you get those first two big cuts out of a 4'x8' sheet of foam? OFLA utility knife? Something else? Guessing you can't really use the Proxon (which is on my distant to-buy list) for it.

Thank you David I really appreciate that! I use an Olfa and a framing square. Check out the beginning (or the whole video) of my Ice Cave Book Nook…. Or was it my Colosseum…. Check them both out to see me cut one up.
