Comparing this pilot to the first one, theres a drastic difference between them. The first one is very dry and kinda depressing at points, witch could work if the setting or the scenario was more outrageous. Here its alot more upbeat with more humor and a decent use if flash animation(?) To give it more depth then the first, witch was traditonally animated and did actually look pretty good all things considered, but this looks like it could have been made later in the dacade then when it was actually produced. Shame it never got picked up, but its compatition was codname Kids next door (if im remembering correcty) so im happy that won insted. Still a shame they never did anything with this, im sure other cartoon cartoon shorts were turned into full shows after this.
Billy And Mandy was Uncle Gus’s competition. Robot Jones and Sheep In The Big City were pilots that didn’t win, but despite that, became full shows. Both of which, however, were short lived (Especially Robot Jones) and got little to no network acknowledgment during their runs.
This Cartoon Should have been full series it has much of potential and humor its very funny too it had very impressive animation at the time When i found out this cartoon existed i was very suprised this didnt became series
The studio that worked on this show had no hope in it whatsoever. They couldn't understand why Lincoln Pierce thought young audiences would've been interested in a lazy gambler, his annoying overweight kid, and a talking horse.
@sbp4668 I found one of my VHS tapes that I used for recording daytime TV when I was a kid. I was watching through the tape, and saw this unhinged show that I'd never heard of (Uncle Gus) and Googled it to find out more. That's when I found out that there were only a couple episodes made, and only one available (my tape had 2 episodes in a row) so I wanted to make sure that it got shared to no longer be lost!
@sbp4668 I read on one of the lost media sites that there might have been a third episode (potentially unaired) but other than that speculation, I don't know.
I seriously doubt it. I didn't even know what this was until I Googled it after watching the tape, lol! I had to be about 9 years old when I recorded this.
This is what the big nate show should’ve looked like. This animation style is iconic and undoubtedly Big Nate
Well, Lincoln Pierce can’t use the Doug art style
I’m genuinely surprised you still had the recording even 20+ years later
As a big fan of big nate ive always wanted to see this show
Recorded November 23rd, 2001.

Really cool!
Thank you
You're welcome! I'm happy to be a (very small) part of media preservation! This is my first find/contribution.
@@jsprau Where did you find it and give us more info on how you found it

finally
Do you have any more pilots that are considered "Lost Media"?
