Jeep Cherokee: No Spark Fix
Просмотров 127 тыс.12 лет назад
Late 80's Jeep six cylinder cranking without spark/start
So i this with key on 5 minutes or key off?
I Love This Cartoon NetWork Pilot ❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜❤🧡💛💚💙💜
This Cartoon Should have been full series it has much of potential and humor its very funny too it had very impressive animation at the time When i found out this cartoon existed i was very suprised this didnt became series
The studio that worked on this show had no hope in it whatsoever. They couldn't understand why Lincoln Pierce thought young audiences would've been interested in a lazy gambler, his annoying overweight kid, and a talking horse.
Man thats sad
I’m glad we have it, but hopefully we’ll get a version at its smoother framerate
@soobymsn1260 I was able to find a Spanish version at what looks like full resolution here: ruclips.net/video/gz3ebDPXIcQ/видео.html
I’m genuinely surprised you still had the recording even 20+ years later
I was looking for this Thanks
THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FIR THIS FOREVER!!!!! 😆🙏🏾🤩
Holy smokes! This works.
This is what the big nate show should’ve looked like. This animation style is iconic and undoubtedly Big Nate
Well, Lincoln Pierce can’t use the Doug art style
Hey! Uncle Gus is the same voice actor as Earl Sinclair.
And Sloppy Joe from Teamo Supremo
7:40 "HEY N*TS*CK"
Thanks! This is actually pretty good quality for lost media, honestly. Many thanks again.
No problem, and thank YOU 😁
Yeah its almost HD which its impressive because average VHS are 480p
As a big fan of big nate ive always wanted to see this show
Comparing this pilot to the first one, theres a drastic difference between them. The first one is very dry and kinda depressing at points, witch could work if the setting or the scenario was more outrageous. Here its alot more upbeat with more humor and a decent use if flash animation(?) To give it more depth then the first, witch was traditonally animated and did actually look pretty good all things considered, but this looks like it could have been made later in the dacade then when it was actually produced. Shame it never got picked up, but its compatition was codname Kids next door (if im remembering correcty) so im happy that won insted. Still a shame they never did anything with this, im sure other cartoon cartoon shorts were turned into full shows after this.
Billy And Mandy was Uncle Gus’s competition. Robot Jones and Sheep In The Big City were pilots that didn’t win, but despite that, became full shows. Both of which, however, were short lived (Especially Robot Jones) and got little to no network acknowledgment during their runs.
Thanks for the nostalgia.
No problem-o!
wow, thanks for sharing this.
Happy to help!
work great on my 90 comanche truck thank you verrrrry much
finally
Recorded November 23rd, 2001.
4:54 Libby?
Lara jill miller She did gwennie in this short
Do you have any more pilots that are considered "Lost Media"?
I seriously doubt it. I didn't even know what this was until I Googled it after watching the tape, lol! I had to be about 9 years old when I recorded this.
Really cool!
real
indeed
OH MY GOD YES
Thank you
You're welcome! I'm happy to be a (very small) part of media preservation! This is my first find/contribution.
@@jsprau Where did you find it and give us more info on how you found it
@sbp4668 I found one of my VHS tapes that I used for recording daytime TV when I was a kid. I was watching through the tape, and saw this unhinged show that I'd never heard of (Uncle Gus) and Googled it to find out more. That's when I found out that there were only a couple episodes made, and only one available (my tape had 2 episodes in a row) so I wanted to make sure that it got shared to no longer be lost!
@@jsprau Also, was there a third pilot?
@sbp4668 I read on one of the lost media sites that there might have been a third episode (potentially unaired) but other than that speculation, I don't know.
I replaced my cps on my 92 and I did not see this plug
Well I replaced the whole fucking CPS and it still won’t start so what now
Will this work for a 99 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0?
How does unplugging it for 5 minutes help the crankshaft position sensor? Does it reset the computer that gives the signal to the crankshaft position sensor?
Maybe I need to do this tomorrow I'll let you know if it worked
I couldn’t figure it out for anything, This worked for me. Thank you so much. Hopefully it stays working.
wowwwwwww just did this and it work!!! Thanks A lot
Great,thanks👑
Omg I wish I watch this before I replaced ever dam thing.
I swear if this works I’m about to be pissed af
Did it work?
Have fun with that coincidence.......
It's a pretty quick chk being that you have to unplug the connector. anyway if you're aiming. at replacing the sensor. Soon as you unplug it , why not reconnected and just see if it will start. Couldn't take more than 15 second plug it up jump in the Jeep and see if it'll hit. If it doesn't you've lost 15 seconds of your life LOL
Do you know what could be wrong with my jeep its a 4.0 and when i turn the key nothing happens but when i go under the jeep to touch the starter it cranks but no start please help me!!!!
Timo Hacks sounds like you need a new starter to begin worh
I’m having the same problem
1989 Jeep Cherokee, this actually worked!!!
your not really fixing it when you unplug it you scrap all the corrosion away and when you plug it back in it makes a better connection
I would consider that as fixing the problem. Same as if you have to clean the battery terminals . Why replace is the real problem was a corroded connector issue ?
hahah.. couldn't believe it till I tried it. way played xj.... well played....
The true problem with this jeep is that CPK sensor is shorted. And that in turn is taking down the CCD bus line Causing no start. If my comment makes no sense to you take your Jeep to a Real Tech. You people kill me, your so cheap. When your PCM blows I'll see you in the shop crying how you have to have it now, cost to much to fix it yada yada yada.
ive found myself here, having no fire, swaped Coil, cam sensor which is inside the distributor, and crankshaft senor. But still no fire. I am getting power to all senors and pulse jump from pcm to Coil. but no fire. Anyideas?
Pulse jump? Are you trying to say the coil toggles on and off? If so then it is trying to fire. Spin it over while holding coil wire in your hand with the other end still hooked to coil. If that hurts ck distributor, cap, rotor etc. If it didn't hurt then ck the A.S.D relay to be sure it closes when ign/sw is in the run position. HAHA Ok really don't hold the coil wire, just pop it off the coil and sit it close to metal(and nothing with wiring going into it) spin it over and see if it arks a spark. In order for the 4.0 Jeep to start up and run the P.C.M needs to see Cam signal, Crank signal, to determine when to fire cyl#1. If the A.S.D relay(Auto Shut Down) isn't closed(you'll hear it click when key is turned to start or run) then you will have no spark. The P.C.M uses the ASD to shut off the car when you switch key off. If you have any kind of Alarm system that kills starter or shuts off spark you need to ck it and or bypass it unless its a factory theft system (VTS, VVS, SKEEM, ETC) then call the tow truck and haul it to the dealer. You can not program a W.C.M or SKEEM module at home. You could have a worn thrust bearing causing the crankshaft to walk tone ring away from pick up killing sig to pcm, or a cracked board/loose solder joint inside the PCM, or it could be spark plugs are missing, burned out, maybe a stripped DIST drive gear, Missing rotor button? Just a few ideas off the top of my head. But I'd bet ya for a 100 bucks most shops could test it and rule out all the above even give you a price to fix it.
Warren Chambers any tips to find a real jeep tech? Most just want to replace parts until you go broke. Similar problems here.
Warren Chambers What is CCD ????
Frank Change ur distributor if there is no spark b sure u have a spark from the coil 1st, yes the CP's ( crank position sensor ) at times takes a hike, all u got to do is unhook the sensor, crank the motor, and hook it back up, start ur rig, its been working for me all the time, got a 89 all stock, 350 k miles, same engine and tranny, no rebuilds yet.
I can not believe this actually worked! Don't know why - but thank you for posting this. Worked great on my 1988 Laredo 4.0.
hope this works cheers
Thank you very much good sir!
Having the same issue & left it my buddies home. Ruin my birthday yesterday somewhat. Giving that trick a try but won't be able till Sunday. Will inform you come Tues. Love my Jeep. Written Oct 18, 2014. J.J
bullshit it didnt work bub
that did it,i got off cheap this time, what caused it
This year I had the worse time with ignition problems I thought I fixed it with a new cap an rotor but I parked on top of a snow pile an the moisture screwed every thing up again idk if it's the coil wires moisture in the distributer not getting good spark
Follow up: the constant cranking eventually fried my computer; after replacing the computer the problem was eliminated completely.
you changed the pcm?
En español
this worked for my 96 I also received the code on jeep forum and found yea thats whats wrong it causes alot of problems lol i paid 400 for mines of craigslist
