    • Assembling a Cities of...
Beneath the scorching sun of Aqshy, the Realm of Fire, stands the stalwart Freeguild Marshal Eldric Rediron, his gaze fixed upon the smoldering horizon. Clad in the resplendent colors of Hammerhal Aqsha, his armor gleams with the fierce determination of its wearer. The city behind him, a beacon of Sigmar's light amidst the ash and flame, bustles with life and the unyielding will to survive.
The lands surrounding Hammerhal Aqsha are harsh and unforgiving, a testament to the relentless war against Chaos that rages across the Mortal Realms. The air is thick with the stench of sulfur and the echoes of battle, a constant reminder of the threat that looms ever near. Yet, under Marshal Rediron's command, the Freeguilds stand ready, a bulwark against the darkness.
Today, word has reached the Marshal of a new threat-a horde of Chaos worshippers, emboldened by the promise of ruin, marches towards Hammerhal Aqsha. Their path of destruction is marked by desecrated shrines and the broken bodies of those who stood in their way. But Eldric knows fear has no place within the walls of Hammerhal or the hearts of its defenders.
Before the battle, the Alchemite Warforger, a master of arcane metallurgy and mystical engineering, approaches Marshal Rediron. With ancient incantations and the harnessing of Aqshy's fiery essence, the Warforger casts blazing enchantments upon Eldric's greatsword. The blade ignites with a fierce, unquenchable flame, its light reflecting in the Marshal's determined eyes. Now armed with a weapon that burns as fiercely as his spirit, Eldric is a beacon of hope and fury on the battlefield.
Gathering his lieutenants, Eldric outlines his strategy with unwavering confidence. His voice, firm and authoritative, cuts through the tension like a blade. The Freeguilds, a mighty force composed of humans, Duardin, and Aelves, will meet their foes head-on, utilizing the very landscape that has tried to break them to their advantage. The arid plains and volcanic fissures will become a deathtrap for the unwary invaders.
As the sun begins its descent, painting the sky in hues of fire and blood, the Freeguilds march forth. The Marshal leads the charge, his blazing sword held high, cutting through the darkness with its divine light. The battle that follows is fierce and unforgiving, a whirlwind of steel, sorcery, and flame. Eldric fights with the strength of ten men, his fiery blade a blur as it cleaves through Chaos armor and flesh alike.
When the dust settles, and the last of the Chaos worshippers lies defeated, the Marshal sheathes his sword, its flame extinguishing as if sensing the battle's end. His gaze once more drawn to the horizon, Eldric knows this victory is but a moment of respite in the unending war against Chaos. Yet, as long as the banners of Hammerhal Aqsha fly high, and its people stand united, there is hope.
Hope, that beacon in the darkness, fuels Marshal Eldric Rediron and his Freeguild Steelhelms to fight another day. For Hammerhal Aqsha, and for the glory of Sigmar.

Also that shield is unbelievable. The texture you get in the red is awesome and it’s so well weathered. Really really lovely paint job.

Thank you so much! Glad you liked the effect on the shield. Achieving that texture and weathered look took some time, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot to me.

The gold and metal's not my cup of tea, but the rest is absolutely stunning. Love the conversion, too.

Hey there! Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave your thoughts! I totally get that non-metallic gold and metal might not be everyone's vibe, and yeah, I can see how it might come off a bit cartoonish on my model. Your feedback means a lot, though. Really appreciate you checking out the video and sharing your thoughts!

@@metalchaosstudio Thanks for the kind words despite my nitpicking. Of course it's always easier to critique than to create and I for one can't even paint NMM, so there's that. But I'm absolutely blown away by the vibrancy of the colors and amazing textures and color nuances you achieved on this model. The cloak, leather, cloth and shield look absolutely out of this world!

@@cablesalad3168 I truly appreciate your thoughtful response. It's important to acknowledge that everyone has the right to express their opinions, even when it involves critique. Handling critique can be tough, but it's a necessary part of the creative process. Expressing opinions while remaining objective can as well be challenging, and it's our tolerance and respect for each other that help us navigate these moments.
I'm glad to read you enjoyed the cloak and other parts of the model. The cloak is my favorite part of the model, achieving that smooth result through layers of paint took some time. 🙂 The final outcome was truly rewarding. Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and for acknowledging the effort behind the work. Keep those critiques coming, they only help us grow!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the conversion. Working on this Freeguild Marsh model was particularly fun, especially when the conversion was complete and I realized the pose coincided with the illustration of the Rulebook. I appreciate your positive feedback!

Holy shit thank you so much for taking the time to do this. I made a comment on a previous video asking for this exact information. I’ve yet to run into a video that goes in depth on thinning your paints correctly. Or even watching the full process of multiple thin coats without the usual RUclips magic.
Thank you so much that was so informative.

Thank you for your thoughtful comments @MrNeelneel ! I'm happy to hear that the information on paint consistency was helpful for you. It means a lot that you took the time to share your feedback and that the video addressed what you were looking for. If you have any more questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to see in future videos, feel free to let me know. Happy painting, and thanks again for your support!

Nice paint on the mini, but you are just wasting your time with the "wet palette" because it's just not one. Just use a small white tile

    • @metalchaosstudio
      @metalchaosstudio  5 месяцев назад +1

Thank you @Bunyip_Studios it's appreciated. I will definitely try a tile thanks for the advice.
