Chuck passed away in 2017. Chuck was amazing. I had the opportunity to meet him in 1993 when I worked concert security. I was working a Paul McCartney concert and Chuck came by. Very funny man.
My dad was a single father for 2 years back in 1981 and my uncle, our second father, helped raise my sister and me. Kids in grammar school with my uncle use to pay him to sing this song.
Chuck was and will ever be the greatest rock guitar player of all time. Why?? Because he did it 1st....writer, singer guitar player....rock star....and he did it as a man of color raging against the system. Love you Chuck
The first time I listened to this song was on a late night show. I can't remember the late night show. I was 12 years young. But it was hilarious! Chuck Berry is a legend.
This song actually got me a free meal. I was at a casino, waiting for their all you can eat buffet to start when some black guys travelling from L.A. came and sat with me. They were also planning to eat there. Anyway, we got to talking and one of them asked me what i was watching on my phone, i said: Chuck Berry. Then they asked:"Johnny B.Good?" I said nope, "My Ding-a-Ling". We all had a good laugh and when the dining room opened up to let people in, they offered to pay for my meal. I graciously accepted of course.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰 oh honey this is one song that you want to take your time and enjoy it the heck with everybody else. This is what we called one of them feel good songs that made you laugh so hard your ribs hurt you. 70 year old southern gal here and I tell you what there's good fun songs like this that are deliberately made so you can laugh your butt off. Kind of dirty without being explicitly dirty , just enough where you can give that sideways look to somebody and see if they got the joke. The man had a great talent he could play the guitar he had moves with the guitar that you just couldn't believe. EVERYBODY that played the guitar tried to imitate the way he could make those outrageous crazy unbelievable moves WHILE , play in the guitar how in the heck did he do that ?????? The man had more talent in his little finger than most people had in their whole dag gum body. I really really love your reaction honey to this song. When you couldn't stop it to talk about how the song was and all you could do was sit there and enjoy it that let me know that you really and truly got his talent and his love of fun besides playing the guitar and singing. God Bless you. Sending much love to you and yours y'all take care of each other.
I was born in 1973 and I grew up listening to Chuck Berry and my parents loved this song. Wonderful memory of just hanging out at home listening to records and dancing and singing.
This is such a fun song if you're ever in a bad mood listen to the song Chuck Berry has a hell of a personality. I've loved this song as long as I can remember.
Thank you so much for your reaction. This song always makes me laugh😂🤣 Chuck Berry was one of the greatest of all time. This song is just fun and exactly what you think it is. Back then I can’t imagine how much they would censor Music but how do you censor this he never actually says anything wrong. He was so innovative before his time. I love it.❤️😀👍✌️🌼Love and peace
Wish I could click multiple Likes for all the number of times I’ve watched this reaction video. Must be about a half dozen by now. Love to watch your smile and listen to your laugh. You are such fun to watch a video with.
What a fun song, my cheeks were hurting too lol. No need to be sorry, this is your channel, and we are your guest, so your allowed to do what you like.
Lol only 50 seconds in and seeing your reaction cracked me up. Cause I'm thinking. YES. Your first reaction is the correct one. You seemed to know already what direction the song was heading lol.
The Chuck Berry house is located at 3137 N Whittier St in St Louis. He bought it once his music career really took off. Actually pretty simple house but in bad shape today, however that will change as a renovation is planned. He also built a large estate in Wentzville MO roughly 40 miles west of St Louis. He spent most of his life there after age 40 or so.
Lol In some situations you just gotta hang on to your ding a ling 🐢🐢🐢🐊🐊🐊 Chuck Berry was not just a incredible musician, but also an incredible showman 💯💯
I am going to give away my age but when I was little I would run around the house singing the title to this song. Not even knowing what it meant. lol My parents would be embarrassed when they would have friends over and I started singing it
I've watched this before and thought it great; that's why I came back. But I just took a quick scroll through the comments and I didn't see anyone mention that, with all the great songs Chuck Berry recorded, this was his only #1 hit.
Chuck Berry lived in his car many years and ate bologna and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches until he saved 100,000. Dollars. Chuck was married to the same woman more then 60 years.
Very few people could get away with doing this song.. Sammy Davis Jr., maybe. Anyone else, even the greatest singers or comedians, it just wouldn't work. Had to look it up but the comment below is right, his on;y No. #1. but the flip side was Johnny B. Good. How can it be?! As a little kid I was singing along with "Maybellene?". What a showman he was! He had that Chuck Berry hop. I didn't know Chuck was married all his life to one woman!
You might not wanna react to it but the Simpsons did a tribute on one episode to that song you should check it out. Also there are dance videos out there to the trap version of the Simpsons version
I was already a Chuck fan when this came out in my school days🤣🎶💙✊ love him.
