  • This is the first of our films from our recent visit to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
One day we decided to visit Yelapa, a small fishing village about 45 minutes away from the Los Muertos Pier by water taxi.
Yelapa was first settled 150 years ago by a couple of fishermen families. It started to be more popular in the 60s, when people, including celebrities, started to move there to hide from the World.
Currently, there are only about 1500 people who are lucky to call Yelapa home.
There is only only way to get there, by sea, as there is no road access. The residents of Yelapa have been successfully resisting the road connection for many years.
The moment you arrive in Yelapa, you get a feeling that time stopped a long time ago - the beach sunken in an intense sunshine, dogs lazily resting wherever they can find some shade, people reclining under palapas, sipping margheritas and munching on delicious tapas, boats dancing in a rhythm of waves, swimmers cooling themselves in clean ocean waters.
We hope that you will enjoy this magical place with us.
