    We always take the bus whe we travel, it's cheap, always available, and the people are so nice. We're going soon, so thanks for the tips.

    I spent a week in Yalapa about 35 years ago. Very sleepy, chill village. The water was a beautiful blue. A nice restful week.

    My friend and I just went there last month, and had the same experience as you guys, I even had the shrimp burrito for lunch too. The next time I go, will try to get the water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán looks like a better option

    Brings back memories of Yelapa in Dec 2018.
    Def. lush and green then. Def. El Tuito bus from PV to Boca & boat along the coast line (we even saw whales) the way to go. We walked to the little waterfall, with plenty of water rushing down and pooling. Hanging out at that beach by the pier was very relaxing after all the walking (and way less busy than in your vid - seems like Yelapa is getting quite busy). Also loved the car free alleys to wander & meander. Didn't know it was strictly locally owned and protected from greedy development - niiice. And could have also stayed another day or two.
    Thx Eric & Sarah, for your enthusiasic and informative clips,and great drone footage - will check out more!

    The rainy season is so late in Mexico this year! Last year at this time, everything in Jalisco was so green. This year the mountain outside my window in Ajijic is still winter brown.

    Smart move taking the bus to Boca de Tomatlan and going by boat from there.. However it always better to buy round trip on the ferry for several reasons but the mostly so you have a spot saved on the ferry o the way back in case they sel out of space..

    Thanks for the video. Is this beach good for snorkeling for kids? (If has fishes) and did you pay in peso or usd?

    • @EricandSarah
      @EricandSarah  Год назад

      Umm there were a lot of kids swimming but didn't see any snorkeling. I think the waves make it a bit too murky for that (although could depend on the time of year too). We paid everything in pesos!

    just so you know, you walked to the Bottom of the waterfall , if walked up the hill you would have come to an amazing pool of water that cascades down to the pool you were talking about, when in doubt ask the Locals

    I just got back from a trip to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta. Went Monday July 24 to Yelapa. Uber from PVR to Boca then water taxi to Yelapa. MISERABLE experience. Gross water, mosquitos and hardly any waterfall even though this is the rainy season. And I have been traveling to Mexico for over 15 years and speak fluent Spanish. Maybe it's better in "dry" season but my experience was not a good one.
