I’ve always had so much sympathy for the hollow knight. It seemed like it was in so much pain and the fact that its desire to save everyone was its downfall is so sad. Knowing that it was hollow and that it could save the kingdom gave it hope, which made it realize it wasn’t so hollow after all. Going through that conflict must have been so difficult, especially with the pressure knowing that if the pale king found out, it would be discarded just like the rest of the vessels. Honestly, I feel like the pale king’s plan was always flawed from the start. You can’t have a hollow being without a will, it’s truly impossible unless if it’s an inanimate object, which at that point, can you even call it a living being?

I still believe the "corpse" the knight found instead was a husk, just another example of cowardice made by the Wyrm, and maybe the reaction Hornet would have seeing HIM of all things that survived The Infection

This looks incredible. My one qualm, as with a few others, is that the Hollow Knight has one arm. However, this isn't super noticeable unless you compare it with the Pure Vessel which has both so completely understandable.
When I saw you sculpt in the hip bones I knew this was going to slap. The amount of detail you put into the initial clay was amazing. I could see figure coming to life
The amount of details is absolutely incredible and breath taking. You did everything perfectly, from the details of the texture and the color to the meticulousness of all the reliefs of its body... Incredible.,
Bruh I was wondering when will you stop adding more details but you never stopped. Insane. I kind of enjoy you making this piece even more than the sculpture itself

Thought of molding and casting but that seems too much trouble and I'm afraid of losing quality of the sculpture. What do you recommend? What do you usually do with your sculptures after you've finished?
Thanks Duarte. I don't do anything with my sculptures. They just sit on the shelf... I actually find it kind of liberating to know that each sculpture is not permanent. It keeps me from spending even more time on each piece to unnecessarily perfect it, lol. But yes, you're right that the only way to preserve NSP or Monster Clay sculpture is to mold and cast. It's what we give have to give up for our preferred clay firmness/movement characteristics 😭

I live watching videos like that but unfortunately I'm not into sculpting something myself, yet. But I watched so many videos of other people and never, NEVER did I saw someone using a real piece of cloth, taking a photo as refrence and build it up with pieces of clay ... it's probably a well known technique but for some reason that just blew my mind haha I'll definitely watch more of your videos now!

This made me think of how much I would love to see a new claymation video game like "The Neverhood" but maybe something with characters with this level of detail. There's only a few true claymation games in existence probably because it takes so much time and effort to do it all by hand and the craft/skill to do it is going away due to cgi/3d graphics... But man is it impressive
I like to imagine because of like every being in hollow knight is a bug that the sculpture would be exactly how big the hollow knight would actually look like irl maybe even a bit smaller
