FOLFIRINOX, then Gemcitabine/Abraxane then finally Capecitabine with Radiation. I am so grateful to my Oncologist, Surgical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist and Thoracic Surgeon. They kept me alive this far.

The common mistakes people make when talking about cancer is that they think is one disease.
There is over a 100 different cancer, each one are very specific and are not equally treatable.

Also, not all cancer can be treated using modified T cells. Currently, the FDA has only approved treating leukemia using CAR-T cells against the CD19 receptor on the B cells. Organ Cancer such as lung, brain, etc .. are still in the early stages because T cells do not stay (or even multiply) in the organ long enough to kill all the cancer cells. You have to specially make modified T cells for each type of cancer because difference cancer expresses different proteins. For example, you cannot treat prostatic cancer with CAR-19 T cells.

hi there! you asked this Q a year ago, so sorry for the late reply. I am researching cancer immunotherapy for my PhD. The T-cells are genetically engineered to produce a receptor that recognizes a specific antigen produced on the surface of ONLY your cancer cells. So this technique is highly personalized - therefore expensive. The receptor can be antigen specific chemically and/or based on molecular structure of the antigen target. hope this helps.
