An Xbox One controller has removable rumble packs, a Touch Bar, trigger locks, remappable paddles, 2 extra buttons on the side, and swappable faceplates? Got it.
@@randomfrankp Honestly, if you haven't tried one yet check out the Elite controller, it's quality. The swappable face plates and a couple of extra buttons just don't seem worth the extra cost.
I think the only real issue at the moment is that this is coming out so late in the console's life cycle. If you have a PC I guess you can extend it's life but if you only play on PS4 this may not make too much sense, specially for the price. Solid product though.
Very high likelihood that the Scuf Vantage will work on the PS5 when that does come out in probably 2020 or 2021. The DualShock 4 controller works on PS3 even when you plug it in. Not to mention backward comparability easier to do when the console is the new thing and the controller is the old
I'm not saying it's a bad controller or that it's not worth the money, but with a new console about a year and a half away some people may not want to pay over $150 for a remote that will be replaced with a new one with possibly new features when the next gen console comes out.
Honestly this looks like the perfect controller for every hand size. I love my Hyperkin Duke controller and my PDP Afterglow Xbox controller; but I will definitely pick this up when it goes on sale!
It’s really not unfortunately. The offset thumb stick makes the left paddles super awkward to use. They changed the position of the thumb stick but left the paddles the same. As a result you have to hold your hand in a very awkward position to use the paddles. Also the paddles don’t always work, the remapping doesn’t work correctly, the control doesn’t turn on ps4, the control doesn’t work in blue tooth / wireless. The amount of problems at launch is insane. It is not worth a purchase. This isn’t an honest review.
I got one. Honestly Battle Beavers feel better to me. I kept hitting the Sax buttons by accident so i took them off. The outer paddles are a little easier to reach than the inner paddles are. As far as comfort the battle beavers feel better in my hand than the Scuf vantage.
6:46. I actually disagree with you about the vibration in the Xbox One Elite controller. In the Xbox accessories app you could completely reduce the vibration down to 0%. So actually, both the Scuf Vantage and the elite controller have that functionality of disabling Rumble features, the Scuf Vantage completely taking them out, and the elite controller just disabling it.
I bought this controller last week and its honestly one of the worst purchases I've ever made. Out of box had too many issues to deal with for its price tag, I talked to scuf directly and they were aware since day one. Please avoid the controller completely or buy the infinity for 4ps or astro C40. This controller was blatantly not finished and it can be seen in the product. I love your videos but please be honest or more in depth with some reviews to save viewers time and money.
From a lot of the reviews from people who actually spent their own money on this thing and not sponsored say there is multiple issues with this controller, the main and most important issue being the DEAD ZONE input from the analog sticks. I wouldn't spend 10 bucks on a controller with a bad deadzone never mind 200 bucks.....
Hell, if you don't like the color, pick up some paints for a model kit, and can recolor it however you want. The effect will likely be better if you're into modelling and have an airbrush, but a rattle can could do fine if you're careful not to get your coats too thick.

I bought this. Adjusted my trigger stops and every face button no longer worked. Every time I switched apps I had to disconnect then reconnect. Then after a week of use all 4 paddles stopped working. This was the vantage 2 btw, not the original.
It is nice but you should tell about how you have to charge it if you get the wireless version. It is rather a pain as you have to have your console turned on in order to charge it and it can't be plugged in after the console is turned off or it causes it to turn back on even if you put it in rest mode. Other than the charging issues it has it seems like a nice controller.
As a traditional PC and Xbox gamer, this generation I've been wanting to switch to PS4 (allllll the exclusives) but I've been worried because of the controller differences. A controller like this really convinces me to switch over

You can’t say it’s the best controller you’ve ever used while unboxing. I’ve heard of a large failure rate with these including dead zones and it keeps forgetting your button assign preferences. Wait until they get through the startup woes before buying.
I had high hopes for this controller. The sticks responsiveness are terrible. Dead zone is much larger than stock, and turn speed/acceleration is nonlinear, that is, it does not correspond with how much you offset the stick. Once you reach the end of the dead zone, you will turn slowly, and as you gradually increase the amount of offset, you suddenly begin to turn more quickly. It makes aiming at your target extremely difficult, and even choosing a menu item with a cursor is very awkward. I’m not sure how you could’ve read it this controller so well. Your entire video looks like a professional he put out commercial from scuf, maybe that’s it.
My Scuf Vantage controller abused me daily 30+ years ago..... It invited other scufs to join in... you could hear them vibrating down the hall and stairway. Due to this trauma, when I switched to xbox one X...I needed two... Thats right.. TWO elite controllers for my protection to make me feel safe..
I’m still reading a lot of bad reviews even after the firmware update. I ordered a controller from Aim Controllers as they have a lifetime warranty and stellar reviews. I would stay away from scuf and look into other companies out there. But for my money you can’t beat the lifetime warranty from Aim.

No it makes sense to have the D pad in the lower position when games call for quick clicks to switch weapons and items. Offset position is way way better. Sony late to the party
Having the D pad lower makes it easier to use the D pad with the left or right hand quickly. That is why games like F1 are much better to play with the Xbox controller if a wheel is not available. For me the offset sticks are not the biggest feature although I prefer them over the simple design. It's when you have to use the D pad with the Sony style controller is when you realize it is an inferior design. It's exactly why this featured controller now exists.
Until they make an off axis Dpad good I rather have the PS4 joystick layout, especially since joysticks are usually terrible with dead zones and other issues I rather just move with the Dpad and have the joystick function as some sort of item management. Or, you know, play any weapon switching FPS type game on a PC with better overall precision in general.

Just Get a f.p.s dominator adapter and you get two extra paddles that's all you need and it cost around 39 dollars

Personally, having used only this controller once... I prefer the Razer Wolverine Ultimate xbox one controller, but both great controllers!
I like it for the fact that it has the Xbox layout, which is what I prefer. The price point is what's getting me though.
