As an LG owner, I'm actually pretty excited about the ROG 6. The device has a headphone jack, top shelf specs, proper band support for T-Mobile (the US version at least), a huge battery and awesome features like 65w charging (charger included!), control over that charging (can stop at 80%) and charge separation for when you're playing games or something else that you don't need the phone to charge. Wish "non-gaming" phones were as feature rich as this
I've had the ROG 5S since soon after it's release last year, brilliant as a daily driver if you can live with the camera (gcam helps). Screen resolution is absolutely fine.
Lucky for you for not having the motherboard issue. Many got that issue which ended up replacing the motherboard through warranty, but i'm not sure how the issue came to be, either manufacturing error or due to a certain software update
I like that it can connect to 2 WiFi networks and has 2 charging ports. 2USB-C ports (kind of) make up for the lack of Micro SD because you can have a USB-C flash drive/dongle in one and a charger in another. Disclaimer: I do not play games aI am just interested in phones.

It has some nice upgrades over the 5. The storage increase is solid. The cooler also means business. Hopefully it doesn't get in the way playing games, while holding the phone.

All the Chinese gaming phones are just gimmick for kids. mid camera mid screen mid OS and most likely will lack future updates. For the long term its a no go.
