I’ve never even seen a Star Wars movie but I always love to watch your trailer reactions for them! You guys have so much genuine passion for the movies it makes me happy to watch these videos 😂
the first thing I thought of when I saw Dark Rey was the Evil ending of Force unleashed 2 And from what I read the clone Theory is a very popular one atm
It looks like Rey is taken over by Palpatine's essence which is tied to the remains of The Death Star and that could lead to Kylo Ren's redemption because he doesn't want to see Palpatine return to power either
My theory is the Rey scene is from the past when she was a dark side user, then was partially mind-wiped and left on Jakku. This would explain her force powers later
The theory I like most is what I read on the actual trailer video: Rey is actually a clone of someone created by palpatine/or maybe daughter of palpatine who is the girl in the end with the double saber. That would also explain why she just saw herself in the cave when she searched for her parents I am excited to see where this film is going and as probably one of the only 100 people on the planet that liked the last Jedi I hope this wraps the whole story up good
What if the vision she had when she saw her reflection in TLA was actually her seeing all her other clones and that’s why they say she’s nobody Becasue in the end she’s just a clone and she was abandoned on jakku by someone working at a clone facility after getting emotionally attached and wanting her to live
The instability of the saber blade makes me believe it is a vision, as opposed to a clone for instance. Kylo's saber is unstable because the crystal is cracked, which is why he has the vents and exposed wiring, because it would blow up otherwise. I don't think dark Rey would randomly have an unstable blade. I think this is a vision of Rey taking Kylo's place and those blades represent that. I also think she will have to fight the vision, similar to Luke fighting Vader in the cave. I think it could be made more real and dangerous due to Palpatine using dark side sorcery, so Rey will have to fight it for real to survive. Maybe Kylo will have to fight a light side version of himself as well...
I just realized (after seeing this trailer like six times) that the fight between Rey and Kylo on the submerged ship surrounded by the water mirrors Obi-Wan and Anakin’s fight on Mustafar surrounded by lava.
idk if ya noticed but those were Imperial Star Destroyer Designs. Not the FO ones in TFA and TLJ. Actual Imperial designed ISD's from the Empire's Age.
I've watched this trailer as well as your guy's reaction over and over and it still gives me goosebumps!! Loved the movie especially Rey growing up and becoming the Jedi she is to be!!
The Force is forever. For all generations. Any generation has the right to watch and enjoy Star Wars. One of the Jedi trials is facing your own darkness. Dark Rey might be Rey’s final trial.
2:43 When you realize that Rey's theme IS THE FORCE THEME!!! John Williams is an absolute musical mastermind!!! And yes, I know it's not dead-on the same. But, the variance is minimal, with very slight changes in timing and harmony. And yes, I know that we figured out that they at least have the same chord structure. It's entirely different when you listen to this spot and can hear either theme.
Charlie Jones I know about pong krell having them but the temple guards in clone wars use lightsaber pikes not hinged double bladed lightsabers like in rebels
My theory is that the Rey we see at the end isn't our Rey, but a clone. This ties into the mirror scene from Last Jedi where she's never shown any parents. Instead, our Rey is a rescued clone and the finale battle will reveal this. She was designed by Palpatine to be the perfect Sith apprentice, that's why she became so powerful so quickly.
It is the Tantive IV. At the EP 9 panel at Celebration they showed this sizzle reel that was exclusive to everyone in the panel and there was a shot of Rey, Finn, and Poe in front of the Tantive in it.
Maybe the shot with Red eyes 3PO is the look he have when is memories from the start ( Pre EP3 ending ) come back ? Now who is the question, but i like thinking thaht.
I was just watching the John Campea show and he was live at the D23 presentation. He is a really knowledgeable about Star Wars and he said that the battle destroyers were not First Order era, but to him they were clearly from the Palpatine era.
Guys, the star destroyers are Imperial Class. Palpatine has been assembling the sith fleet in the beyond for years and Kylo sent the Knights of Ren to the beyond to investigate after a vision he had of Palpatine.
One thing that I'm thinking here is at 11:04, that could be a shot from a dreadnaught. We know they have those special cannons on the bottom specifically for orbit-to-surface bombardment, they showed it off at the beginning of TLJ. And it looked like they were three shot bursts as well, which would hold with the video.
To me it looks like the snow or dust is geting kicked up and as it rises the bolt strikes making it look like its going up. The one on the right side of the screen goes down, it doesn't make sense why they would go in different directions.
That was great ..I had chills by the end of it . I have liked the new trilogy ( not as good as the OG but much better then the prequels imo ) I like the new characters ( mainly due to the charisma of the actors) though Kylo’s certainly my favorite ..I hope it wraps up this trilogy aswell as the Skywalker Saga well!!.
The legacy the prequels have created is to important to me to discredit them, the sequels simply haven’t managed to keep me interesting in a future story
That "dark side Ret" shot is either: - a dream or vision - her using somebody else's lightsaber or one Kylo made for her - an edited shot and it's not actually red in the film
That Blockade Runner IS confirmed to be Leia’s Tantiv-IV ship, the behind-the-scenes material on the blu-ray reveals this as a way of keeping Leia’s presence in the film because her ship is literally powering the Resistance base
The celebration poster showed 3P0 with a weapon. I think he gets upgrades to actively fight this time around and Daniels said that he actually gets to participate in the action this film.
Ok is there something off about Rays face in that last seen? Is it CGI to make her look Dark Side but it just looks uncanny valley, like Alita battle angel but somehow wet.
It's kind of a small detail but those Star Destroyers have a silhouette that is the same as Venator II Class Star Destroyers. Look at the bridge. The Resurgent Class Destroyers are wider and the bridge is sunken down more into the ship, plus the front is open because that's where the TIE/FO's deploy from
C3-P0 has to be the Skywalker of the title. He was made by Anikin, so technically he is a Skywalker. He will become the new Emperor and free all the droids from having to serve others. :)
I think it would be really interesting if Rey went to the dark side. I think it's either a dream or a vision that Rey has like in The Last Jedi. It could also be a clone of her. She looked like was in a trance. Her face didn't move at all. I actually want to see that part. I'm really excited to see it. I also love your Star Wars Funko Pops. I have the Rey Pop. 😁
The Star Destroyer armada got red lines on the edges, 3PO got red eyes...I got it! Red eyes 3PO is him interfacing with the armada as he takes control of all of them! :D
Honestly the prequels were unwatchable at times. The script was cringeworthy and straight-up boring. Some fans just care about what happens to their favorite characters, as opposed to what constitutes a watchable movie.
This is speculation : 8:45 C-3P0 Eyes glow red because during episode I Darth Sidious bugged C3P0 after learning Jedi arrival on Tatooine via Darth Mual and Sidious hacked C-3P0 as a way to get more insight on the Jedi & Rebels.idk just a thought

Eeni Thesian the empire fleet of palpatine
@@kanekiskywalker1596 The Empire is back!!
In Rebels and The Clone Wars the temple guards do have the flip lightsabers
Zenta only in rebels
@@thatrandomgamer6278 Pong Krell and Temple Guards had them in Clone Wars.
Charlie Jones I know about pong krell having them but the temple guards in clone wars use lightsaber pikes not hinged double bladed lightsabers like in rebels
2:45 I love how Calvin just kept acting like an overjoyed puppy!
I just realized that those were Empire-era Imperial-class Star Destroyers. Excite!
Poe Dameron is probably gonna blow up a single star destroyer and it creates a chain of explosions that destroys all of them.
that water fight looks like a call back to the saber fight on mustafar with obi and anakin
Good point. I didn't even think of that
My theory is that the Rey we see at the end isn't our Rey, but a clone. This ties into the mirror scene from Last Jedi where she's never shown any parents. Instead, our Rey is a rescued clone and the finale battle will reveal this. She was designed by Palpatine to be the perfect Sith apprentice, that's why she became so powerful so quickly.
It's probably either a vision or a clone. Hoping for a clone.
@@cody8835 that too. You already know there's no way they'd reveal her fall to the dark side in a trailer if that's what really happened
It is the Tantive IV. At the EP 9 panel at Celebration they showed this sizzle reel that was exclusive to everyone in the panel and there was a shot of Rey, Finn, and Poe in front of the Tantive in it.
THANK YOU SANTA!!! CANNOT WAIT!!! 😍🙌🏻✨
I’m so happy we getting a foldable double bladed lightsaber in live action, tbh I forgot the guards in rebels had them, I just remember Pong Krell did
Maybe the shot with Red eyes 3PO is the look he have when is memories from the start ( Pre EP3 ending ) come back ? Now who is the question, but i like thinking thaht.
Maybe they have to tap into his memories to find something regarding Anakin?
You mean he hasn't awoken and become Darth Creepio?! ;)
Apologies if this was already mentioned, but the b in B-Wing is for blade; the ship, when wings are extended, looks like a dagger.
This Trailer reminds me of the Avengers: Endgame Trailer with all the Flashbacks.
I was just watching the John Campea show and he was live at the D23 presentation. He is a really knowledgeable about Star Wars and he said that the battle destroyers were not First Order era, but to him they were clearly from the Palpatine era.
"This is where the fun begins"
When they are fighting on the death star piece, I see a parallel to when Anakin and Obi-Wan were fighting on Mustafar.
I think Shane is right about the Inquisitor having the same lightsaber with the turning saber handles?
Guys, the star destroyers are Imperial Class. Palpatine has been assembling the sith fleet in the beyond for years and Kylo sent the Knights of Ren to the beyond to investigate after a vision he had of Palpatine.
"Oh my God it's Burning Man!" 😂
Been looking forward to the Blind Wave reaction since this dropped online. You guys are awesome!
Sorry, but Disney doesn't have the guts to make Rey dark.
The kylo walking from his ship shot, the lightning goes up 👆⚡
To me it looks like the snow or dust is geting kicked up and as it rises the bolt strikes making it look like its going up. The one on the right side of the screen goes down, it doesn't make sense why they would go in different directions.
@@unknowngaming1432 that's true, but we can't deny the colour of them, this storm has force written all over it
@@Jimjon24 yeah. Thunderstorm Palpatine.
OMG i love your reaction! 😍 i love how invested you are.
I said "nostalgia" at the same time as Calvin 😂
That was great ..I had chills by the end of it .
I have liked the new trilogy ( not as good as the OG but much better then the prequels imo )
I like the new characters ( mainly due to the charisma of the actors) though Kylo’s certainly my favorite ..I hope it wraps up this trilogy aswell as the Skywalker Saga well!!.
The legacy the prequels have created is to important to me to discredit them, the sequels simply haven’t managed to keep me interesting in a future story
I liked it till they fucked up the second movie.
Taimur Muggo love me some Kylo, I honestly think he’s one of the best characters throughout all the franchise.
Finn Simcox its true but the prequels to me were better on paper then execution while the sequels have been executed better imo
Shushant Upadhyaya well I like TLJ quite a bit so to each their own.
That "dark side Ret" shot is either:
- a dream or vision
- her using somebody else's lightsaber or one Kylo made for her
- an edited shot and it's not actually red in the film
you guys are my favorite star wars reactors!!!
That Blockade Runner IS confirmed to be Leia’s Tantiv-IV ship, the behind-the-scenes material on the blu-ray reveals this as a way of keeping Leia’s presence in the film because her ship is literally powering the Resistance base
Kinda felt like Calvin knew what was going to be shown
I love how you're talking about the poster for a few minutes at the end and then show it after the whole discussion for a few seconds.
I called it Rey will turn to the dark side ever since the force awakens and Kylo turns to the light
The celebration poster showed 3P0 with a weapon. I think he gets upgrades to actively fight this time around and Daniels said that he actually gets to participate in the action this film.
I think the second Death Star is supposed to have fallen onto the planet. Planet is called Endor. Moon is also called Endor. Confusing lol
The main planet is called Endor but the Moon isn't. It's simply called The Forest Moon of Endor.
I was waiting for your reaction!!!!♥️♥️♥️
Ok is there something off about Rays face in that last seen? Is it CGI to make her look Dark Side but it just looks uncanny valley, like Alita battle angel but somehow wet.
Bro the guy that played Anikin in the prequels is coming back to play him 😍 I actually love that and how jj is bringing it all together!
Can I ask how you know this?
What a journey of just awesome films. Evil Rey has a ring on in the last shot btw
I swear, Avengers and Star Wars just keep one upping each other foe best trailers ever!
The fight we can see between Rey and Kylo Ren actually reminds me of the fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith...
I’m planning on watching this during my Christmas break!!!! But it looks so good 👍👍👍
0:04 WE 👏 STAN 👏 MEN 👏 SUPPORTING 👏 MEN 👏
role reversal between kylo and Rey? please make this happen!!
Has Rey found the Balance between dark and light?
Definitely not. Their crystals turn white, red is for the sith.
@@themossyroad only if you actually purify them from being red
About the Emperor on the poster, it is actually a toy, it's the Hot Toys figure, someone pointed it out and shared the original picture of the toy.
What happened to Knights of Ren?
I hope that's in the movie
they are
It's kind of a small detail but those Star Destroyers have a silhouette that is the same as Venator II Class Star Destroyers. Look at the bridge. The Resurgent Class Destroyers are wider and the bridge is sunken down more into the ship, plus the front is open because that's where the TIE/FO's deploy from
Aren't those imperial star destroyers in that blockade shot, as opposed to first order star destroyers?!?!
They are indeed Imperial SDs (probably SD1s but well). The Senate had them hidden I guess
C3-P0 has to be the Skywalker of the title. He was made by Anikin, so technically he is a Skywalker. He will become the new Emperor and free all the droids from having to serve others. :)
YES I’ve been waiting for your reactions!!
The guy on the left is a bit righteous, keeps knocking everyones ideas down...
The Star Destroyer armada got red lines on the edges, 3PO got red eyes...I got it! Red eyes 3PO is him interfacing with the armada as he takes control of all of them! :D
I agree with Calvin I like the prequels but not as much as the original trilogy or sequel trilogy
Honestly the prequels were unwatchable at times. The script was cringeworthy and straight-up boring. Some fans just care about what happens to their favorite characters, as opposed to what constitutes a watchable movie.
Sam Serrao I completely agree
This is speculation : 8:45 C-3P0 Eyes glow red because during episode I Darth Sidious bugged C3P0 after learning Jedi arrival on Tatooine via Darth Mual and Sidious hacked C-3P0 as a way to get more insight on the Jedi & Rebels.idk just a thought
my prediction is that it is actually a clone of Rey
So Im thinking Palpatine is the clone Rey???
Yup i think so also! Reey!! Just like Luuke
I don't dislike Star Wars by any means but I'm not like a huge fan or anything but honestly i just love watching you guys watch Star Wars stuff it's so joyful
Can we talk about Vaders breathing in the scene!?!?
Yes in rebels the temple guard have the switch sabers.
