Never seen the support rails having dowels inserted and the explanations answered my questions. Amazing thought process and thanks! I love learning from the pros.
Trevor thank you for not only sharing the work and video but also the plans. Thats a nice website and a clean build. You got a sub . Stay safe friend God bless.
Struggled like others to find measurements, so sharing my new found sketchup knowledge. Assuming you found the link to "sketchup model" in his description, and have the free Sketchup. Use the orbit tool to move around (green/red arrow tool located middle right menu bar). Use the protractor tool to measure angles (under "tool" menu): 70deg on legs, 10deg back to bench. Use the tape measure tool to get lengths. His seem a little too large, most recommend a bench ht above ground of 15-17", and I'm measuring 18" on sketchup. Also most recommend a 5 deg pitch on bench seat. I can see a pile of cut lumber in sketchup, but never really found a cut list. Nice bench.
By far the best design I've seen using cost effective materials. The attention to detail and consideration for what and who would be using it is impressive! That you for sharing this project and the sketchup file. I'm busy pulling the dimensions so I can build a few for friends and family.
Muy linda te quedo la banca .. me decidi a aser una igual o lo mas parecida y me salio identica estoy muy satisfecho con tu enseñanza muchas gracias saludos desde COSTA RICA
Nice video and a nice build. I suggest you give a little bit more explanation of the decisions you made and choices you had, as well as why certain things were done in such a way. Be not just an inspiration, be an inspiration and a teacher.
Very nice. I am new to working so you video is especially helpful. I was able to download a viewing app but unable to locate the measurements and more importantly the angles. Please help
Why is it so difficult to have a cultist for this?.....scetch up is not user friendly at all....and the website is giving errors....what is the cut list for this cool project....like dementions and angles....
Will some one please point me a the right direction. So I was able to download load the plans but for some reason I can't view them. I am not most computer master so I am sure I am doing something incorrectly. Any advice will be very appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Trevor, I tried to get the dimensions for your beautiful bench on you web, but it did not work . Would you be so kind and send it to me please. Thank you
Excellent job Trevor. Thank you for sharing this project. I did click on the link to see the SketchUp model of your bench but it didn't work. I also went to your website and clicked on the details link but it didn't work either. Is there another way to access the bench details? I know this was put on RUclips 6 years ago but I'm just now seeing it for the first time. Thanks again.
wish I could have the dimensions. Sketchup doesn't show the measurements. keep trying it but i dont know 2016, 2017, 2018. Id really love to have this as my first project.
The bit where you drilled the supports and then filled them back in with a dowel puzzled me at first as I had never seen that. Then it all made sense. Thanks for the tip.
Great video and an amazing looking bench 😀 Any suggestions on where I can find the cut list in the SketchUp file? I'm struggling to work out the lengths and sizing of the lumber. Thanks in advance!
Hello Trevor, what app do I need to install to open the sketch up models. I keep getting an error stating i need to install an app, but it doesn't tell me the name.
I have an unrelated question, I have the same Jet table saw and am looking for a pattern for a zero clearance insert. The thinness of the manufacture's and the small lips have made crating a solid one difficult for me. So I was wondering if you have a pattern? Thanks. By the way I love the bench and added it to a LONG list of projects.
everyone will have a different opinion, however, my sealant of choice for outdoor furniture is min wax Helmsman Spar Urethane. You will need to give it a coat or two every year to continue to protect it and no matter how hard you try, the sun will eventually win and it will become gray and faded. To protect the legs from soaking up water I coat the bottom of the legs with either titebond ii or epoxy before applying the urethane.
Skp files to much bother to download an app to open it , why not just make your files pdf or something that most people use , dissapointed , but will compromise
Pocket holes not robust? I've made a half dozen or more 2X4 benches using pocket holes and glue and you could park a truck on them and they'd be fine. All that being said, you made a great looking bench.
Never seen the support rails having dowels inserted and the explanations answered my questions. Amazing thought process and thanks! I love learning from the pros.
Thanks for the Sketchup model! The bench looks fantastic.
Trevor thank you for not only sharing the work and video but also the plans. Thats a nice website and a clean build. You got a sub . Stay safe friend God bless.
Nice job, could you please share information relating the measurings of the beanch? Thanks in advance
That bench is the bomb man still trying to get plans

Installing the dowels into the 3 seat support area so your depending on screws in end grain for support excellent!
Wow,that is the nicest "Simple" bench I have seen on you tube. Excellent, will be making some of those
that bench turned out awesome nice tight joints. Thanks for sharing Trevor.
thanks .trevor's . just give me a few tips. got to build 2 of those plus a sofa bed.
If your familiar with sketchup you can use the dimension tool to get lengths, widths and thickness. Tedious I know, but doable.

Very beautiful job, thank you for sharing this wonderful video. God bless you.

Hi Trevor,
I tried to get the dimensions for your beautiful bench on you web, but it did not work .
Would you be so kind and send it to me please.
Thank you

I am not able to dload your sketch up model.
Wish they had these plans in pdf. I can’t download the file I have nothing to open it. Thanks anyway.
Is there a pdf version of the plans? Sketchup is being a huge pain.
Nice job I need to make a outdoor bench
wish I could have the dimensions. Sketchup doesn't show the measurements. keep trying it but i dont know 2016, 2017, 2018. Id really love to have this as my first project.
Nice job! I think you need another drill though
WITH SKETCHUP HOW DO I SEE THE DIMESIONS AND MEASUREMENTS. i only see the general drawing, no other pages show on tool bar. im using skup 2017
Thomas just saw it. If you zoom out of the axis, it will show you another pile of wood on the right side where he has the cutting templates
thankyou...this inspired me to make my own based on this one!!! i varied it a bit.
Wonderful
is there a reference to the sizes of the back rest frame? in the skechup model I can only see sizes of one piece out of two.
well organized presentation,thank you!
Where to get plans
I can download the sketch Up's on your website but I cannot open it
The bit where you drilled the supports and then filled them back in with a dowel puzzled me at first as I had never seen that. Then it all made sense. Thanks for the tip.
Mark,Im stıll tryın to fıgure that out.Why dıd he do ıt.?????????
It was so the screws didn't just go into end grain. They went into the dowels to make the connection stronger.
+Prmskeepr yeah that was what I surmised from watching.

Great video and an amazing looking bench 😀
Any suggestions on where I can find the cut list in the SketchUp file? I'm struggling to work out the lengths and sizing of the lumber. Thanks in advance!
Trevor, are there any plans so we can make this bench ourselves? If not, will you ever make them?
Muito bom de assistir. Perfeito!! Parabéns!
Great work Trevor. Can you tell me what angles you used on the back legs?
Beautiful job! Nice work and congrats from So Cal USA.....across the pond (it's Memorial Day here in the USA...always last Monday in May)

Very nice project,... Thanks

Very nice indeed
Nice build
I love this bench. Is there any way to download plans using PDF instead of sketch up? I have no idea how to use it.
Yeah where can we get plans. Dimensions.
Patterns.🤷♂️👍🏻
Very nice. Can you please tell me the angle of the front legs?
In Sketchup it says 21.5 degrees.
In which option can you find that information in sketchup ??
Wow!!!👍👍👏👏👏👏
Hello Trevor, what app do I need to install to open the sketch up models. I keep getting an error stating i need to install an app, but it doesn't tell me the name.
Had the same problem files are skp , maybe a more commonly used file would be better for us all
Same here!!!
Very nice..
Não é possível fazer download do projeto do banco de jardim, se possível enviar pelo email
Очень красиво получилось. А есть чертежи?
Nice but on the bottom rail of the back between the vertical slats, isn't that going to collect water!?
I like your dog! Your bench is good too, but how many drills do you have!!!
Do you have the plan on PDF?
Could you send me parts measurement ?
need the dimensions and cut list PLEASE
great bench, but its a lot of tools required, its ok if you got all that equipment in your garage.
Are the measurements correct? In sketchup the arms are with 26 "= 66 cm !!
I love all benches. I build them and sell them.
Trevor, why dıd you put dowels ın the cross members,Im puzzled.???????
It was so the screws didn't just go into end grain. They went into the dowels to make the connection stronger.
Thanks.
could you send me the dimensions and the plan for this gear, thank you.
need the dimensions and cut list PLEASE
Me too!!!!
Me also
Thanks
do you put a coat of sealant or something to protect against rot or bugs? if so what kind?
everyone will have a different opinion, however, my sealant of choice for outdoor furniture is min wax Helmsman Spar Urethane. You will need to give it a coat or two every year to continue to protect it and no matter how hard you try, the sun will eventually win and it will become gray and faded. To protect the legs from soaking up water I coat the bottom of the legs with either titebond ii or epoxy before applying the urethane.
Trevor's Workshop thanls for the reply! so is the only side effect a graying wood? or will it warp or break down faster than say cedar as well?
Thank you great work !
What was the cost to build this bench?
Skp files to much bother to download an app to open it , why not just make your files pdf or something that most people use , dissapointed , but will compromise
Do your dog is leon of Steven universo! I love it!!!

Pocket holes not robust?
I've made a half dozen or more 2X4 benches using pocket holes and glue and you could park a truck on them and they'd be fine.
