Can we just take a moment to appreciate the drummer going absolutely ham for almost twenty seconds and just having the time of his life? A big round of applause for this man! Holy shit!
also this ----> --3:40-- to --5:09--
@@twistedviewlabs I know, right? Best part in my opinion is 4:50 to 5:02, and I especially love that "YOOOOOOOOOO" near the end. Man goes hard!
Guitarists be finger fretting about the stage and the main man is just back there chopping firewood the entire time. He is amazing, props to the drummer man.
This is why i respect drummers as they need to constantly play all the time. There is no rest for them.
kurona and wasabi are fucking sick drummers i swear to god
5:53 Let us all pay our respect to our goddess, Beni Ninagawa
She is great❤️
She s so beautiful
She is in almost every Wagakki video thumbnail 🤣
She's so beautiful
She's painfully beautiful 💕
Hi from England. Love this music, Love this band. I'm a 75yr old guitar player. I wished I was younger when I see these kids. Brilliant.
Красавчик!🤘
Machiya in his Noh mask, doing Nohgaku moves while playing melodic guitar licks is overwhelmingly fun to watch.
And he's barefoot too, he's super into his role lmao.
I’m in love with Beni- Sama playing the shamisen
That would be Beni Ninagawa
.
I mean like....who is not in love with her? Sooo beautiful, soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo talented
brah trust me makeup does wonders, especially to asian girls... if you see her without all that makeup she is not that incredible...
@@user-ti7it7ev7t least she is not fat F what we got here in states and killing it.
ah~ yamete~ yamete kudasai sensei~
Always wondered how a Shamisen would sound combined with rock music, and hell I had high expectations, but I was NOT disappointed!
mindblowing right??
that's how i got here lol
I found finally Tsugaru-shamisen (that 3 string guitar) play style has already been Metal for this hundred years!!
Its a fucking amplified shamisen! Beni ROCKS!
@@terry2276 that's what Steve Stevens had thought about flamenco music style - than his solo album has been born (ruclips.net/video/FACUWnmiJgI/видео.html&ab_channel=leins)
This must have taken place in Japan. The audience is so respectful. The performance is just mesmerizing.
I didnt see anyone holding up their phone and filming. they are just enjoying music
@@A-Wa Why record massive long footage of a concert on a cell phone anyway? The quality is going to be terrible, especially the sound or its going to be decent but take up an entire cell phone drive and take forever to format on pc later. When you can just get the music online later anyway.
@@A-Wa because it’s against piracy law in Japan to use a phone at concerts
@@TaylorZF1
It's not a law, it's just a rule.
You won't be arrested if you record here. it's not a law.
@@TaylorZF1
They're just following the rules, which is why some of them record it sometimes. If it's against law, they'll be arrested. Even if you are found, you will only be warned or kicked out.
Damn.. A Samurai with the mighty instruments..

Beni is a goddamned rock star on the shamisen. Amazing!
Pretty much every band in the world can learn from this level of showmanship.
Such phenomenal talent. The lead guitar player can hold his own against anyone on stage today, period. And stage presence, these guys have it in spades.
no doubt. reminds me of joe satriani or eric johnson.
Yngwie Malmsteen.
I concur
they are fenomenal performers wich cannot be said of all musicians but I beleive you have to be a great musician to be a good performer as my guitar teacher told me once the job a musician is to make the audience believe the hard parts are easy
@@dougmphilly I would say it sounds more like buckethead and if you don't know who that is look it up you won't regret it
メンバー全員美男美女だなぁ🥰🥰🥰
I just discovered this music today. I'm 74 and live at the ends of the earth New Zealand. I love it especially the drums and the flute and the girl on that square instrument. Was it on this one? I've been watching this stuff all day. I'm hooked. Have to watch again. So good. It is awesome. Japan you are phenomenal!!!
That square instrument is a Tsugaru Shamisen. The girl playing it is Beni Ninagawa, and she has her own RUclips channel. Unfortunately, it's all in Japanese, with subtitles....in Japanese.
Lady, that hook must have a looong reach, because I'm in Greece and I'm hooked too!
Those Japanese must make these hooks realy long....
They inspired me so much that i have started learning Japanese.

Damn, that flute spinning in the end was a cool act to close a cool music performance!! Found it by accident and ended loving it!

i found them by accident too!
When your metal of choice has a taiko drum solo you know you're at the next level.
I can't get enough of the lead guitar on this track! The way he plays the way he moves. It's magic.
こういう切ないメロディーは日本人の心に突き刺さる。
尺八かっこいい!
首振り3年ころ8年って言うけどパフォーマンスしながらは凄いです!
I really can't decide between the two pieces which is the best. Completely different style each but both are showing the instrumentists for what they are: masters.
สวัสดีผมมาจากเมืองไทย ผมเคยฟังผลงานของพวกคุณมา5-6ปีแล้ว พวกคุณเก่ง
The amount of charisma on stage...... I'm dead.
This band is literally better than 90% of famous bands !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS I LOVED😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Yup
You right 👍👍👍👍👍😂😂😂
Yes you are right but once visit to periphery too but I'll meet you after this.

I love the way that they have taken elements of their traditional music and blended it with a western heavier sound. Brilliant.
bravo bravo
most excellent
thank you
I love Japan, they mastered everything.
聴いて、すぐに虜になった‼️昔、サンタナの曲を彷彿させるリズムに、一番好きな曲です😆🎵🎵
When I hear this I think what deep mystery Japan is... I hope they can keep the mystery! ❤️
Ok, youtube algorithm, i've liked this in any way i can, please bring me more!
electro guitarist's playing is so clean and easy on the ears i love it. and the shamisen lady... she is just born shine lol.
Aynen öylee
just say guitarist to us it doesn't matter whether it's electric acoustic or classic as long as we know how to play the guitar we know how to play any guitar we generally develop our own style or method of playing to suit our body and music style also if you liked the guitar riff you might like buckethead he is an awesome guitarist

This band was born to succes. Hope they come to Europe some day
Europe is too boring. Most of the people there enjoy classical garbage.
@@Azatosu You need to get out more.

Edgy idiot.

There is classical Japanese music, European, Chinese..... would not call them "garbage"
They had their US tour already bruv xD

Machiya... your mask makes this song so alive. one of the best performances of wagakki
can't wait see your live perform in Indo
Man that drum that starts at 3:45 killed me so fine i love this band
It's amazing that the most replayed part is when Beni shows up. She owns the stage with her unique mix of fierce and cute!
"Somosan seppa" is one of those Beni-out-of-nowhere--jawdrop-moment tracks ... like Homura from the 2015 tour... which was my entrance to the Wagakki rabbithole ... not to a small part due to such moment ;-)
The artistry and musical talent here is off the charts!! They don't just play or perform, they express themselves to the fullest!
日本を代表するバンドに!
これからも応援します👋👍🏼
Вот это настоящее японское веселье - взять лучше и не забыть своего. Я впечатлён. Благодарю.
Asa, Machiya, Wasabi - They'd make a pretty intense power trio as a side project :D
@Mello Lieb yup...3 modern instruments + 4 japanese instruments + 1 super powerful vocalist
@M.L Actually, Suzuhana Yuko is an outstanding clasic pianist, composer, director and arranger. She writes and play most of the synthethised supporting tracks you hear. So, you must add this four western features to the band
@@RoteCorsair Yuko is not only a western feature though. She is classically trained pianist but also Shigin master. Also really talented at fan dancing and kenbu too. If anything, she is the beautiful combination of Japanese and western music, truly befitting as the leader and front woman of WagakkiBand
The shamisen solo is effin cool!
i'd love to be there live. Few bands anywhere can make live shows a real unique experience and this band live looks like something you won't see anywhere else.
Don't let God me to die before watch them alive in Japan (Japan audience is a big bonus to any rock show, they really know how to party). Thank you for sharing this.
not a single camera and smartphone flash in sight, truly amazing crowds indeed
hello, i went japan 3 times at summer for classic tourism and music festival, i saw them live in 2016 at sapporo at rising sun rock festival, a fantastic festival during the bon weekend (fest od death), the festival of 150.000 people rock/pop start the friday 12.00 closed midnight, but saturday they start 12.00 and go for white night, and the end is at the rising sun the sunday for respect the death, its unicum in world and lot of artist and friendly people, and few foreigner. and sicne they are very civlizated people, the put tent not in special reserved zone, but behind stage, so you can sleep in hearing music, and take bbq with people :D
if you want see them live i recommand you to target "music festival" which are usually friday-sunday, start early, a bit expensive (100€/day) and always during holidays, so plan a travel july or august next year, look for music festival ticket, like "summersonic, rising sun rock festival, sweet love shower, you can grab ticket online", one band show, and other festival are harder for tickets (need phone number and lottery system), get tickets is main problem without get contact,
very important, for know where a band perform, go to the band website, copy/paste location of the calendar and see if they sell ticket to foreigner, if this is festival , you can buy online and send email (could be you only way to get a ticket) , i send email to 3 small livehouse for one band show, for know if i could have tickets, and they always answer me to come , they are very friendly. just go with your will, and your smile ! you can also book ticket in japan if you are sure the event is small and not full booked,, just ask a konbini staff for buy/print ticket at the machine (7/11, lawson).
then for travel its ez,
print your music ticket (main reason to go), get a plane(500-1000€), use booking-like for hotel (around 70€/day, could be cheaper), use japan rail pass for get cheap unlimited shinkansen rail all aroudn japan like '200€/week), take a card for smartphone or book a 4g mobile box, and take a card for subwaybus too on place that you can charge up to 200€,
you can travel easily just in speaking english, transport hotel restaurant are used to english, no problem with googlemap, booking app, its very easy, no need to speak japanese etc...i recommand for a 1st trip, 1week osaka/kyoto. 3days tokyo, other at will, but 1day kanagawa, 1day himeji, 1day hiroshima is nice too..
funny thing in big cities they have dedicated bar of every musical style hard rock, rock, anime jazz etc...wher eyou can encounter people who shar ethe same tastes.
just for notice, japan is the 1st country n the world in number of live show, its really a hot spot for music, you wont regret it
@@ilhamn1177 Japanese and Korean bands use to share full shows for costumers who pay live tickets. You don't buy only entrance, you buy everything including those light stickers. Everybody is part of the show. They even teach show choreography and audience response previously.
Listen to band maid too
@@fiqriaulia5983 sir you deserve a medal for introducing them to me
Congrats great cheers and love.from Italy
that guitarrist is playing at another lvl!
My friends: What type of music do you like?
Me: You wouldn’t understand.
This is the story of my life. I hate living were my only music choices are regeaton, a mix of latin & regeaton, salsa and cheap romantic pseudo balads. I hate that rock is dead around here and that due to poor taste in music we are not able to hear something so beautiful, powerful and cool like these band around here
I try hard to explain it but nah. I was lucky enough to find some people I think appreciate it too... or me enough to listen with me at times :p
Bruh its just thrash/Japanese folk fusion
@@jakublesko4847 Nothing, they're just saying it for the meme and to get likes.

It’s amazing, Japanese heavy metal 🤘🏼, it’s so cool, the performance, the sound, the traditional instruments are unbelievable. Great combination of sounds. I’m a new fan.
It's a rare and special moment when you finally hear something original. This feels like the Japanese version of the first time I heard Heilung's Krigsgaldr.
Their guitarist has that great “Cliffs of Dover” sound. Fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Been years for being a fan but I still love their music just like the first time I fell for their music
Love from Philippines
上手い人らって3人だけでこうやって音楽作っちゃうんよね~。素敵やわ。
Stage presence, music, they have it all! This group ROCKS!!!
The Cherry Blossom guitar that the lead guitar has, it's damn gorgeous!
This is only the 3rd and 4th songs I've heard from these fine and talented musicians.
All of it. Excellent!
The lady with the three stringer.
Wow. Just wow!
That bit she did with the percussionists.
Just look at the audience. They are a part of the whole performance.

what a huge beautiful guitar and what a cool masked guitarist. i like his melodies and his way of presenting. i enjoy, thank you
My favourite live performance of them of what I've seen on RUclips.
Check out homura and akatsuki no ito for there that was my first live for them
Love those singing riffs! Shin Oumura is the Joe Satriani of Japan.
If anybody has ever tried playing the shakuhachi, they know how difficult it is to play. This guy in the monk's suit is phenomenal.
5:52 It is incredible what 3 instruments can do. And it's looks like start a war or a fight in Naruto.

Glad RUclips recommended this to me.
hearing this make's me believe there I hope for humanity yet
For me, all 8 of them have a fantastic talent playing in their own instruments...even vocalist Yuko, master in playing piano..
Main guitarist Macchi so excellent 👏 and drum player Wasabi also excellent and at 3:28, he knock the drum sticks 4 times in his head...kakkoi
I love the drummer. I want to play just like him some day. I'm just some average band kid in middle school who plays bass drum...
