Good on you for having a go🎉 🌱🌱🌱 i would suggest mixing up some seaweed solution in watering cans to help those struggling. Keep it mild and well diluted. Perhaps half strength of what's recommended. It works wonders and can be quite economical.

Thanks for watching. I do use seaweed on my trees plus with my Asparagus.

It’s good to see you are growing Edranol. The variety originated in my home town vista ca many decades ago. It is also good to see you are growing Nimlioh, did you create the Edranol and Nimlioh trees by grafting or buy from Epicenter ? I only know of Freddy and Ellen who propagate Edranol and Nimlioh in NorCal. Those of very rare varieties

Thanks for watching. I did purchased Daily 11, Edranol, Nimlioh from Epicenter. Last winter the wild boars took out my Daily 11, Longan, Gem, Pinkerton and others avo trees on the side hill of my house 😩But in return I was able to shoot & killed some of the smaller boars and make a dent on the population on my property, I think ? Have not seen any of them on my security cameras this year. But they're still there. I see tracks in my walnut field and eating up my walnuts. They're multiplying on my property. I know there is a very large boar inside my property. He is on my trail cam six years ago. He could easily be 400 lbs by now. Unable to get him to show him self. He's very smart. Not sure how long wild boar could live for? That is why I always carry a gun with me when I walk/hike my property.
Ellen was not able to get her B's avo varieties to produce fruits because of weather. She was surprised that I was able to get my B's avo varieties to produce fruits in zone 8a/9b. She wanted to tour my property two years ago but my schedule was hectic. Was unable to give a tour.

@ thanks for update. How big is your property.? My wife and I are planning on buying some acreage at some point bc we have outgrown our 1 acre here with over 100 trees now (and counting )in San Jose but it needs to be close to SF Bay Area. The boars are a problem here but luckily not on my property - they tend to hang out in the higher hills behind my place though. I trap raccoons regularly and deport them. I would shoot anything on sight if I had enough acreage so neighbors wouldn’t call police. Ellen is phasing out all B’s bc they don’t do well - for her. They do fine for me. My wife is from China so we enjoy the jujube and persimmon trees which I planted specifically for her

@@SVmathfarmer I am from Vietnam. We're in West Paso with fence in 200 acres, elevation 2000. No HOA dues. If I have a chance to do it over I would put in low voltage electric fence so animals & people cannot get in or climb over😆 Like the property we have in Montana was all electric fence. The house is 22,000.sqf. on five acres of eatable landscape on top of the mountain. We also put un 26 acres of wine grapes. We sell our grapes to Daou & Booker winery. We love it here. Not too far from Bay Area. We use to live in Los Gatos and Saratoga for many years. We know the bay areas real well. Not sure if you're aware of Jujubes is extremely high on anti-inflammatory & antioxidant. I have five varieties planted.
SVmathfarmer ? Do you teach math ? My niece in Fresno won first place in the National math competition in the US. a while back. She did not even study. Math was easy for her.

@ math pays the bills! Farming in the blood. Having an edible landscape surrounded by open space is nice. There is an empty lot 120 acres down the street from us we are looking into only issue is it’s VERY steep. Jujubes we do know quite well. I grew up on a farm in San Diego county and we had jujubes so I developed a taste decades ago for them. Will be interesting to watch the progress of the avocados. What year was initial planting? I started in 2017 and am about out of space now at 70 trees. Total trees with everything about 100 I lose track. I’ve had a lot of failures with avocados but now got it down pretty well with good drainage and lots of mulch and most of the grove is thriving. I am especially interested in seeing how Nimlioh does for you. I have 3 and they are thriving. Funny trivia my guess is you were from Vietnam bc I know the accent - MANY of my students are Vietnamese and have been teaching 25 years to them. My best friend Andrew Stehr who owns Stehr concrete in San Jose has Vietnamese wife and he - white guy from Alabama is completely fluent in Vietnamese. I read and write mandarin 我读写汉语 so what is interesting is when Andrew translates Vietnamese into Chinese for me I can understand it. So anytime the Vietnamese use the Chinese characters I feel very happy. We have a new Vietnamese supermarket that opened called Dai Thanh market and I have no idea what that means but as soon as I see the writing 大城 market then I know what it means - big city market. Avocado 牛油果 cow oil fruit = butter fruit 😀

What a wonderful property! How many avocado trees do you have in total? How cold are the winters in Paso Robles? I think I recognize the tags on your trees...did you purchase from Maddock? I'm in Fallbrook not too far from the nursery.

Thank you for watching my video. At the moment I have 100 trees. Two on order from Florida for next spring. Our temperature could drop down to 28 but just for few hours. I don't have any issue with my avocado trees with the temperature. We are in Zone 8b/9a elevation 2000. I do have some Maddock trees. I was there two weeks ago. Maddock have very healthy large tree. Much better than local nursery in Paso Robles. Maddock do not carry rare varieties avocados trees. If you are looking for rare varieties go to Louie's Nursery in Riverside. They carry lots of rare varieties of avocados.

It looks like you planted avocado trees that are still young and not well established. I wonder how do you protect them during winter from cold weather and potential frost.

Thank you for watching my video. On my property I don't have any issue with my young avocados tree. They survive the winter of Feb 25, 2023 with snow that lasted for three days without protection. I have photos to prove it. We had frost every year here. But the frost lasted only few hours and then it warm up. None of my trees die or burn. They all survive the winter in Paso Robles.

@@KhalilSaba-c3l I am in USDA zone 8b/9a elevation 2000. Our temperture could drop down to 28 degree for few hours it doesn't bother my trees. I have calcareous clay soil. That is why I plant all of my avocados and citrus trees on a mound. With 50% sand mix in there. DO NOT SKIM ON THE SAND. Your avocado trees will die if you skim on the sand. I am speaking from experience. Watch my video. HOW TO PREPARE A HOLE FOR AN AVOCADO FRUIT TREES. Thank you.
