Teen Spirit, by Navana. Pentatonix is the best A Cappella group around, Home Free and Voice Play are good for what they do, but for me Pentatonix is the best, and so diverse in what they can do.
Actually they reached out to Kevin ( the beatboxer) because he could beatbox excellently WHILE playing the cello. It was only later, after committing to the group, that Avi ( the bass) and others gave him singing lessons. Kevin does have a really sweet tenor voice and an impressive falsetto. He fills in backing vocals and harmonies when he's not actively beatboxing.
I am so glad that despite all of them having tragic pasts, that now, all this time and hurt later, almost every one has managed to find that special person, and still has their friends and what they love to do.
Hey, I finally saw the floating guitar in your opening! Kirstie just breaks my heart in this one, Kevin’s impeccable cello is always welcome (particularly since he’s practically playing the drums at the same time) and here is finally proof that Scott can sing without using his hands. He’s got a death grip on those chair backs, though. I’m living vicariously through your cigarettes. It’s been 8 years for me and I miss it. Peace … Oh yeah, Teen Spirit, but that’s only because someone else knew it. I’m old.
You would thoroughly enjoy Avi Kaplan's ( you had to re listen to his part here) solo music. When I'm a Fool live from Sunset Sound is a good on or Change on the Rise. Not sure what song you were singing but I did make it all the way to the end.
I think it's about time you reacted to a lighter fun song from PTX. I suggest Can't Hold Us, Daft Punk, Cheerleader, Sing, A little Space, or Come Along.
Here's another relationship song, but one from a different perspective, that of would-be, unrequited love. It's an original solo work by Avi Kaplan (the bearded and beanie'd bass) and is deeply emotional. By the way, he sings all of the harmonies in this. ruclips.net/video/etksoYqIQMA/видео.html
FYI -- I listen to and perform a lot of medieval and Renaissance music and the lyrics are pretty much the same as modern pop music. I don't know whether to be sad or reassured that things haven't changed much over the centuries. Here's a lyric from over 600 years ago -- "Lady, I am one of those who willingly endures your wishes, so long as I can endure; but I do not think I can endure it for long without dying, since you are so hard on me"
Loving your reactions, new sub for more PTX here, welcome to the rabbit hole! I would suggest making a playlist for your PTX reactions so it's easier to see what you've seen and what we can recommend! You should check out their originals 'Run To You', 'Love Me When I Don't', 'Be My Eyes' I think you'd really enjoy those!
"Guys, I don't think I can do this without my lighter!" said totally unironically is seriously one of the best things I've ever heard a reactor say before a reaction! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Subbed just because of that! And I'm not a smoker, but I fucking can't stand those people "Oh I'm SO sorry you have to smoke" they say while holding their $8 water & half caff, half almond/half soy milk, extra dry, extra hot, 3 & 1/2 pumps of sugar free caramel cappuccino with a side of ice🙄 Sorry for the judgey McJudgertons & enjoyed this!
@@MadAng66 WOW! Thanks for that friend! I think it's a combination of turning into the Hulk when people are being bullied by the keyboard cowards, and having severe sarcasm as my spirit animal (I maybe feed it too much😈) !!
Great reaction! Looking forward to more PTX from you. I liked your intro song so I checked out a couple of songs and REALLY liked them! Added Internal War to my library.
A few my favorite songs from PTX are their covers of Shallow, Mad World, and Havana and a few of my favorite originals are Never Gonna Cry Again, Water, and Sing. Would love it if you would react to any (or all) of theese❤❤❤
You're going for the anthems and sad songs, which is cool. I'd strongly recommend their covers of John Lennon's Imagine, Tears for Fears' Mad World, The Prayer (originally from an animated feature, but made famous as a duet between Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion), and the classic Amazing Grace. ETA: Oooh, ooh, I know that song! Nirvana, Come As You Are. Not particularly a Nirvana fan, but the song showed up in a story I was reading, so I checked it out.
I wish I had a cigarette! Smoked 40 years. I quit 5 years ago. BUT.....I still crave them. Everyone said the cravings would stop after a week or so. UM...NOT!
Enjoyed ur reaction but please do yourself a favor and re-listen on your own, this arrangement is a masterpiece of a yearning and builds that are hard to experience with all the stops. Nirvana 🔥❤️🙌
I always say that one does not listen to Pentatonix ... we 'experience' the vibrations of the song through Pentatonix - I have been following them since they first started, and they continue to get better every year! Here, they are what I call baby-pentatonix! LOL I think 3 of them were 19 and the other 2 were just a few years older -
Don't recognize the song you did at the end. Maybe you need a happier love song for your girlfriend's birthday. Here's a live version of Pentatonix doing their original song "Love Me When I Don't" in Tokyo earlier this month -- ruclips.net/video/gaA2bCkV3Zk/видео.html
I believe Kirstie had an infected eyebrow piercing when this was filmed - it certainly helps with her pained expression. This is a beautiful version. If you want to hear someone begging their love to stay, you have to listen to 'Stay With Me' by Lorraine Ellison. ruclips.net/video/6pDBuPK0_DU/видео.html The desperation in her words and the power of her voice will blow your mind. Didn't recognise your song - sorry!

They are also THE pioneers that made acapella cool, won Grammys, etc.
For me too

Kirstie is a master at putting the emotion into a song. This is one of my favorites.

Scott would be mute if his hands were tied.
Seven years and I still get cravings for a smoke.

I have a lighter for you....here................ upload complete
Thank you!
LOL you really had the knack for pausing it at bad times today, you should rewind a few seconds before continuing
Yeah, backing up five seconds helps the song’s continuity. Love the reactions.
Where are you from. I love your accent
Philly 🔥🔥
