I just bought myself an Elgrand a month back ....we've got 5 kids and it's perfect for us! I absolutely love the looks of it and interior room is perfect! Love the engine too it sounds great 👍
It would be interesting to see a size comparison of the Nissan, the Toyota, the Mazda Bongo and the VW T6. Seeing them all parked side by side and simultaneously compared would help some of us (me) work out if they are big enough. I know the VW well but not the Japanese imports so it makes a good benchmark.
Good video, I think you must have a hefty right foot though. I get 35+mpg on a run and between 20 and 25mpg around town. (Best ever urban I managed 27!). The introduction of fully synthetic oil made a difference, as did the removal of the rear catalytic converters and the replacement of the front cats with sport ones. I replaced my roof dvd unit with a UK item ~ it works fine and who needs a player in the front anyway? Nissan can supply a UK/Europe satnav disc - or just buy a Tom-Tom. I fitted high-performance brake pads and "Greenline" tyres; much longer life. My vehicle is older than yours; I specifically wanted only one side door, and I think the older ones were more fuel efficient, unless you buy almost brand new. The Elgrand is, without doubt, the best MPV. Money can buy - unless you go American.
Great video dude. Concise too. Love your work. I bought E51 my 2004 3days ago 🎉 (might need to buy a cheap hot hatch what I don’t need to size lol) looking forward to driving her. Guess that can’t play English DVD? You said something about mark3? Also looking to remove lower mididisk etc and replace with something compatible with iPhone/android, any suggestions what aid/vis system would work? Be nice to get DVD to play on rear tv too
Mine wasn’t under sealed, and tbh that’s how I’d rather buy them. You can see a true status of the metal work that way. If paint coverage is good then you shouldn’t have an issue.

Great review, I know the fuel economy might not be that good but for long journeys it's cheaper than a train.
This information was exactly what I was looking for.
Great stuff, glad it’s helpful!
Thanks for these videos on the Elgrand !
the VQ engine is thirsty in any car, I think it will be worth hanging on to these for engine conversions some day
Or use fuel catalisator (am I saying it correctly?) and use lower fuel ron?
