I graduated evergreen 2020 I was on campus at this time. I didn't take part of the protests. I was spat on and me and my ex girlfriend were threatened with baseball bats by protesters when walking around at night. A hateful person is hateful no matter what justification they may have

Anyone can go to college.... anyone.... not everyone has the fortitude to do the things to get there. Life is made up of moments and choices. It’s Life’s “opportunity costs.”’ What a young person chooses to do in exchange for an education is their choice. There is about a dozen colleges in the US that offer FREE school but you have to work at the school or work for charities for a few years after graduation

My family has had some serious monumental physical, emotional, social and educational setbacks..... One thing that I’ve drilled into them Almost daily is that EVERYONE has struggles and there is always someone who will have it worse then you. Don’t make excuses, don’t blame, and I don’t EVER want you to be a victim of your circumstances. You must fight, never give up, be kind, respectful, and never let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do..... What happened to the spirit of liberty and personal responsibility? What happened to coming together, learning and growing as a people who live in an amazing country? Segregation is racism and separate is not equal. Anger, resentment, and hate will rot the person who holds it near and dear because the only thing that can make a person content is love of yourself and stop looking to the outside for happiness..... or you’ll just keep searching for that next 5 min of peace only to have it slip away.

Racism and favoritism in college are ongoing issues that must be addressed. Many colleges, for example, have entrance exams that students must pass in order to be accepted. Unfortunately, some students are unfairly failed during their internships by prejudiced supervisors. Another issue is difficult courses and professors who fail without providing feedback. Many program administrators believe that higher education should only be available to white and middle-class students, so they pass laws that make it difficult for some students to obtain an education. Students are afraid to speak up for fear of retaliation. Another problem are students with disabilities who dont get support and not allowed to get higher education, for instance they are some blind smart students who get droped out by prejudice professors. Furthermore, some colleges have indifferent administrations that are unsupportive of students. As a result, racism in college is a systemic issue that must be addressed in order to achieve equity.
