I like the putter, but @ 4:45 when your boy made that swing in the background I was watching him. I had the Masters featured groups playing on my other monitor. One of the guys hit an iron shot perfectly timed with your boys strike & my jaw dropped....then I looked over & saw what had happened. Priceless moment!
I'm using a Mezz Max, standard weight. I agree that is a bit light, but I'm getting better at lag putting with it. The ball usually goes where I point it, though.
Just got my one today. Haven't had a chance to get to the course but feels amazing on the carpet at home and I've been playing 60 years, 6 handicap, can't wait to get to the course.
Just got mine today! I loved it at Golf Galaxy! Let’s hope it translates to on course! Only thing is if I’m paying that price for custom i think it would be dope if the head cover matched the color of the putter you chose! I got a stock just cuss I had a gift card to Golf Galaxy lol
I ordered one of the default DF3. I've had it for 3 rounds so far and loving it. Kind of taking my mind off putting seems to be the trick. Point and click if that makes sense
Do you think the weight of the stock steel shaft would aid in lag putting, or is the "heavy" head option sufficient? I had the same issue with you on the MezzMax (with graphite shaft) feeling too light for lag putting.
I think you are probably right on the steel shaft I had a standard in mezz and felt like I could lag better than when I had the la golf shaft. I like the heavier head combo with upgraded shaft but the standard weight with steel shaft is a great option as well
I highly recommend getting fitted with the online tool by sending in the video to the lab team. you will want the specs to be dialed in to your specific setup.
The DF3 is amazing. Two things, easiest to start online putter I have ever owned and #2 puts a beautiful roll on the putts. I have already seen the benefits of putting it in play.
Planning on ordering one, just in between colors now. I was wondering if the green color bothers you with the grass and mat being green and all? haha Hoping to hear from you! Thanks!
I’ve been rotating the DF3 in and out of the bag. I rolled in a lot more long putts with my Mezz max but the DF3 is so much easier inside 5ft than the Mezz. I’m torn. 🆘
How do you feel about the lag putting with this model? I’m from Malaysia, we just got Lab Putters in retail stores now. Tried the DF3 and Mezz 1, like what you mentioned, in the Mezz 1 video, I tend to struggle with speed for putts over 20ft for both the Mezz 1 and DF3. Inside 10ft im making them or just brushing the edges. I have yet to try the Link 1 as the set presented in the retail store is wrapped up in plastic but it feels more like a traditional putter when I did some 10ft putt. Still haven’t pulled the trigger as I’m waiting for the prices to drop since they were just brought over. Would love to see you review the Link.1 if you have the chance because I think we have similar feels.
Thank you very much for the comment, sorry for the delayed response. I have not tried the Link1 but I have not needed to as the DF3 has been lights out for me! it has been so much easier to lag putt with than either of the mezz1 I had previously. I hope you're making putts like crazy!
like any putter it will take a few rounds to adjust you'll be making a few one putts every round am thinking of getting this putter Question : how tall are you and what lie did you go with on the putter thx cheers from Vulcan Canada
I think it depends on the model. I went from an older spider to the link and got a little better putting but not much. Maybe 1-2 strokes a round. Bought a DF3 this weekend 35” 68° (stock). Usually i have around 34-36 putts per round. Yesterday i played 18 and had 23 putts (13 one putts) every thing else were two putts. Shot a personal best 75. Only had 7 gir and made 5 of them for birdie. Definitely just have to find what’s comfortable for you. I don’t like the feel or look of the mezz either. Only DF3
@@drewfortsongolf5529I use my driver about 12 times per 18 holes. I use my putter about 32 times per 18 holes, but about 15 of those are tap-ins where the putter doesn't matter at all. Thus, I hit about 17 shots per round where a better putter could make a difference. Based solely on that, a putter is "worth" about 42% more than a driver, so if you are willing to spend $320 on a driver, you should be willing to spend $450 on a putter, and if you are willing to spend $600 on a driver, you should be willing to spend $850 on a putter. Even that, however, understates the true value of the putter. A drive that is slightly short, or slightly offline may cost you 0.1 stroke gained, but a putt that is slightly offline will cost a whole stroke.
Then you’ve never putt with a LAB Putter! Once I paid that price I ordered a custom for $650. If you think a putter is not worth what a driver costs then you just don’t know golf!
First, I'm Canadian, so not apples to apples... 2nd YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!! Now, that said and fully understanding that putters are a chunk of cnc milled aluminum on a shaft that cannot possibly justify those prices.... I haven't found a putter of any brand in the usual name brands that is less than $600.00 and I just ordered a DF3 with the TPT shaft and in my currency, it set me back $1,300.00 after the conversion. My final comment is value for use. We pay $1000,00 for drivers up here and use it mayby 13 times a round. So paying that much for a putter that gets used 30 times a round seems like a better place to spend the money. Like a bad team with a good goalie, the eraser can make up for some wonky shots, so I am willing to sink the time and cash into it.

How do you like the green color? Do you ever find the putter head blending into the green grass of the putting surface?
@@JonCalder-q4t no issues at all I love the color!
I have the same DF3 with white Accra. Distance control (getting it TO the hole is a learning process). Cheers.
Hopefully it's gotten better for you, cheers and thanks for the comment!
A very useful video.☺💝
How do you like the color you chose? Would you choose that same color again? Contemplating getting a DF3 or 'maybe' waiting for the OZ in Jan.
I love the green! I have no complaints so far
Nice putter, the Lab Golf stuff is just different.
Very different no doubt about that!
I ordered one of the default DF3. I've had it for 3 rounds so far and loving it. Kind of taking my mind off putting seems to be the trick. Point and click if that makes sense

Good video. I just placed an order today. Been putting with a Scotty blade last couple of years. Never tested this. Blind buy. 😱 nervous
It will be different for sure but I think you’ll love it!
How do you like the putter after having it for awhile? I’ve been looking into these lab putters and they look nice.
Love the putter! By far the best putter I've ever used.
I ordered my DF3 two weeks ago. Same color, shaft and grip as yours. Can't wait.
You’re gonna love it! The wait is the worst though lol
I have the gen 1.
Played about 15 rounds with it. And i still havent hit a bad feeling putt.
But i do need some serious practice

Did you get the standard? I’m trying to decide if I need to get fit or if a standard 35 will be good enough since the tech is the same

I agree after using a couple of rounds! Keep rolling them in!
I’ve been fitted many times at 68 (lie) for conventional putters. Would that apply here as well?
Yes that would be what you would want to get yours custom fit to that lie angle of 68*
Thx Drew
And that green - whoa!!
Planning on ordering one, just in between colors now. I was wondering if the green color bothers you with the grass and mat being green and all? haha Hoping to hear from you! Thanks!
It hasn’t bothered me at all I love the green! 👍🏼
I miss one or two tap in every round with mine.. not taking my time 🤦♂️ obviously my putting stroke
hopefully those have tightened up a bit for ya! good luck out there thanks for commenting.
You looked at the bottom of the putter, how did you know it was the heavy outter
I ordered the putter custom from LAB golf so I knew it was heavier weighting. I’m not sure how you could tell just by looking at the head.
I’ve been rotating the DF3 in and out of the bag. I rolled in a lot more long putts with my Mezz max but the DF3 is so much easier inside 5ft than the Mezz. I’m torn. 🆘

Do the remote fitting they propose on their website. Its spot on!
I am 6’ and was fitted remote for a 71* lie angle.

I must be the only one who wasn’t impressed with the putter. Lag putts help but the short putts are a bare
