why was margarito sparring mora for the cintron fight? Kermit and Sergio's styles are completely different.

I don't Sergio's style either, his hands are ways too low, and he doesn't throw but probably one punch at a time while Margarito is throwing 2-5 punch combos and landing well. Margarito is quick enough to land a Jab, Cross, Left Head while Mora's hands are down, and then land some body shots with an uppercut or two. Gotta love Margarito's hand speed and use of combinations.
I like Margarito but everyone keeps forgetting that Paul Williams called out Margarito, beat & took his title to put a further delay on his rise to fight Miguel Cotto. If it wasn't for Paul, Margarito would have been a star but he made it now so that's good. & for the record PBF fought more names in boxing than Cotto & Margarito. Won more titles in different divisions & got the big pay day with Oscar that everyone wants now. PBF laid the blueprint, people need to recognize.
margarito is just a badass man. gotta respect this guy. Yeah i know he looks awkward and sloppy but its very effective. Just ask the knew IBF Welterweight champ Kermit Cintron.

Uno o dos veces tirar el jab y luego la derecha sobre arriba or para enfrente. Cuando conectes con esa? Le tiras un Uppercut con la izquierda. Asi le gano Forrest. Asi le puedes ganar si te dan la revancha. Busca la revancha y utiliza lo que te eh dicho. O mira aqui la pelea del "Forest vs Shuga"

margarito vs mayweather. would be an exciting match to see indeed.
margarito is kind of an inside fighter like hatton. But his defense is way better. That weaving's timing is almost pefect. Would pay lots to see that fight.
Sad: I can't tell which is supposed to be the 'oh so great' margarito or the 'not so great' sergio...

not defensive about Mayweather, im even disappointed that he would retire with out facing the numerous ww that are about. my comment was just to show that even if it would have been a good match to watch like mayweather gatti, i just dont think it would make sense. The only realistic fight for Margarito now would be Williams because despite Clottey bruising a knuckle in his hand his fight against Judah wasnt a good enough showing to warrant a rematch.

what you on about people tend to do better against Marg when they fight on the inside like clottey did. Mayweather is excellently conditioned so i dont think we would see him wear down like Cotto did and his defensive skill are second to few/none so he would dodge more of Marg's attacks as well as counter punch the fuck outta him

Mora vs Margarito would be a good fight at 154 lb maybe?
Margarito is a very hard guy to beat, Williams fought a great fight against him. Nobody likes to fight Margarito he is very experienced and proud fighter. He does not want to fight Cintron for a rematch he rathers fight against Indio Quintana who beat Paul Williams outright, Margarito probably thinks that QUintana will be easier to beat than Cintron, he is up for a rude awakeing. QUintana is very slick and more refine fighter than Cintron.
sergio doesn't suck, he just gave up when he felt margos punching power. margo is #1

Floyd is not the GOAT but I cant sit here and say he has never been tested. What about the JLC fight? what bout the early rounds of the Judah fight? what about when he was loseing the Chavez fight until a TKO. Floyd has been tested Hatton and Margarito have never been tested.

The first JLC fight was close but what does he do when the fight is close like a real champ he gives him a rematch and kills him no question something oscar can seam to do yet. Who has Cotto fought besides judah, who has Margarito fought? who has Hatton fought ? And shane mosley hasnt beat a good fighter since he beat oscar other than that he is taking easy fights but nobody ever says anything about that.
But anyway i cant say floyd has never been tested man because when you can beat guys like JLC and Corrales or Jesus Chavez those guys are boxing warriors and I takes alot of skill to out box those guys and you have to admit the Castillo fight was close and that in itself is a test.
this reminds me of a show on discovery channel were mma guys go around the world to fight certain diciplines. homeboy squared up with a thai fighter and got owned with the muay thai practitioner was going easy on the co host.
yeah, sergi was lucky it wasnt a real fight, but you got to give it up for the kid, hes good aswell. shows how latinos square up and thats why you see them become legends in the ring all the time. take notes
