Series 2 Album page idea #9 of 12 - using Kaisercraft Peek-a-boo & Pitter Patter

For a 9" x 7" album with base pages 8-1/2" x 6-1/2"
I use 200 or 210 gsm cardstock as I get carried away sometimes with flips & flaps so I like to use sturdy cardstock.
Measurements are always Height x Width. Burnish all score lines. Mitre all hinges.
For pages you choose as Front & Back inside covers: remember to have base page mats 8-1/2" x 6-1/2".
Burnish all flaps, pockets etc before attaching & burnish all attachments after attaching.
NB: Personal choice: to use glue or double-sided tape.
NB: Personal choice: add your patterned paper before or after attaching your base page mat to the album page.
For the majority of times,I find it's easier to do this first.
NB: Personal choice - I rarely cut my patterned paper based on my measurements. It is so easy to be out when cutting so I usually sit
my patterned paper on what I am matting and pencil mark and cut, then double check the fit is correct before attaching.
NB: Personal choice: what width border you like when matting - my choice is 3/16" smaller than whatever I am matting.
The finished page can be attached to either a single or a double base album page.
The finished page can also be attached to the base page on only three sides to form a top or side pocket.
You can choose either side or the top for a pocket. Keep in mind the user will need to be able to easily remove the mat so do not have a
side pocket opening on the album binding side of the album page.
MEASUREMENTS & INSTRUCTIONS
Base page mat (Cardstock or patterned paper) 8-1/4" x 6-1/4"
Side pocket 6-1/2" x 3-1/2"
Score along the 6-1/2" side @ 1/2" on one end and on the 3-1/2" side @ 1/2"
Personal choice: Punch or die cut along the 9-1/4" side opposite the score line
Bottom pocket 7-1/4" x 4"
Score along the 7-1/4" side @ 1/2" each end and on the 4" side @ 1/2"
Personal choice: Punch or die cut along the 7-1/4" side opposite the score line
Diagonal band 1-1/2" x 4-1/2"
Place the band on the bottom pocket at a diagonal angle and fold over & use as your score line
CONSTRUCTION
Attach the side pocket to the base page mat, using glue for the bottom edge that will be hidden by the bottom pocket..
Attach the bottom pocket to the base page mat (on top only, do not fold under the base page mat as it will be too thick.
Attach the diagonal band onto the top of the bottom pocket.
Finish off the page with patterned paper, photo mats and embellishments of your choice.
Attach to the album page.
