About to set up a build similar to yours. I'm surprised it cruises relatively high at 8 amps. Do you think adding a 10x5 prop would improve efficiency?
I could get a lot more efficiency fort sure but I like the current setup with balance of power punch and performance. This is a DJI setup wing so I won't be flying it long range. I am just finishing a second Dart XL V2 which I am setting up for high efficiency and long range flights and missions.

In terms of the powertrain the A2212 is quite high KV so should be ok with a 3S lipo and 6x4 prop. I would just do a simple thrust test, hold the plane by its nose and power up the throttle until you feel the plane go light and gently push you had up and take a note of the throttle position. This will give you an idea of the power to weight ration and where you need to launch it sucessfully in terms of power. Apart from that I would just give it a test flight and see how it feels. "He did not made it to the UK" was really funny too when the MQTT data might have lost and we assumed he was still en route. Great collaboration about that very basic and cheap groundcontrol ... Your pronounciation of "Krankenhaus" was pretty decent or close to native speaker. That building was part of a defense or fortress chain against invasion and subs ... manned with a lot of men back then 247 and later by a pirate radio station we had heard of back in the 70s or 80s as the pirate radio. Thanks a lot for the great narration about the blackbox data. btw ... I had subscribed too ... got my AR Wing pro late autumn last year but without time for building ...
Thank you it was a lot of fun and I am pleased I got the Krankenhaus pronuciation right. Glad you enjoyed it
Lovely footage! I've got the AR Pro as my first venture away from multirota. Im nervous of my first launch, not being that familar with iNav, it would be massively helpful if you would be prepared to share the the CLI dump?
Hi, I did the same and just about two years ago got my first wing after flying quads for 4 years. Hardly fly my quads now as this has absorbed me so much.

@@bluefish3607 Super helpful, thank you so much!
Great job!! I downloaded your other gopro mount for the AR pro and printed it. Is there any chance I can get the stl file? I use the Runcam version thats like the gopro 5 and its a tad to small and would like to modify the camera section.
Yes sure I will get the STL uploaded so you can access it
Nice dude 👍🏻

Thank you! Cheers!
Stunning flight. Whats your AUW with the 4s 5200mah lipo?

Great video! What is the flinying time of this setup? Around 15 min just like in the video? And how do you use the 2e lipo? For vtx? I would like to have a picture to steel your setup mat ;-)
That flight was with a 3300mah 4S and yes about 15 mins with the throttle levels I was using most of the time. Easily 20-25 mins flying it like a Sunday driver :-)
Not sure what you mean about the 2e lipo.
Here is an overview of the build and setup, if there is anything you need just give me a shout.

@@rcnoob573 Hi there I don't have any experience with Eagle Tree vector or Spectrum as I run iNav and FrSky OpenTX with TBS Crossfire on all my planes.
I have no idea if the eagle tree setup has AutoLaunch like iNav.
Good luck with it let me know how she flies.

@@bluefish3607 just a last question sir? How many volts did you use to power the Telefly tiny module? Did you just connect it to a separate 3s battery or did you use a voltage regulator and reduced the voltage to 12v if you used a 4s? Did the tiny overheat at any time during your bench tests and flights? Hope to connect with you on whatsapp
@@raffman4266 Because I powered my GPS separately from my F405 FC I did not need to use 12v into the TTiny and I used a 9v source from my FC. It did not overheat at all in this configuration.
See the notes copied directly from the My Fly Dream manual to explain this.
In case of sharing a GPS, you need to connect these wires in the above picture:
PortA P#2 GND : Connect to the GND wire of your GPS.
PortA P#3 U2 RX: Connect to the TXD wire of your GPS.
PortA P#13 GND: Connect to the Power -
PortA P#14 Power: Connect to the Power +. You can use 7~15V DC if you don't need to power a
GPS by TeleFlyTIny.
To use a separate GPS, you also need to connect
PortA P#1(+5V) to your GPS. And power the TeleFlyTiny with DC 7~12V DC to avoid overheat
problem.

How is your "foam armour" holding up?
Its no good at all, it starts to peel if it gets damp. A much better option is to use E6000 or Goop, I have coated thr front of my AR Pro test plane and so far its held up well on a number of landings and one reasonably heavy crash, and its waterproof!

It's never Summer in the UK :-)
Hi Glenn, just to let you know that it was a great narration on Marc Hoffmans channel about the groundstation and flight path.
I have not spoken much German since school but hope to improve it for when I come to stay at Marc’s place in the summer for a week of flying. I came in 2019 but could not come last year due to Covid.
I got my module delivered today so hope to do some testing on my plane in some of my future videos.
Anyway glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the extra information on the Krankenhaus it has a very interesting history indeed.
