Just maidened mine yesterday ! It was a little crazy at first but once trimmed out it flew very well. Amazingly durable and sleek and excellent cooling throughout.
Andrew - could you please make a video explaining a starting point for what different thrust angles are needed for a sctatch built single & double motored tractor v. a single or double motored pusher configuration.
Another wonderful demonstration. That would be awesome if the price would be around 60-65 for kit and 90 for PNP. Thanks again for the awesome video, as always if I decide to purchase it I will go ahead with your affiliate link.
After the first video you did with that track I had to download it, I have it on my headunit in my car and the baseline is savage on my 2000w RMS system with four 12's in the boot, the tune is as quality as that amazing plane :)
Just received mine yesterday. Really impressed with the layout and design, But I deffinatly think there needs to be some kind of Evolution version. There is no real protection for your expensive go pro, it's just sat there on the nose. An enclosure would of been much better, and provide protection. And also a slightly longer fuselage to add bigger or more batteries. Apart from that it's a great looking wing.
you prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Yousef Jeremiah thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice little bird! That smooth tail looks fantastic too. Lots of these have quite flat rear ends and it leads to serious noise, so its nice to see this.
Great looking wing! looks like my size, interested to see how it flies, the stumpy wings remind me of the teksumo, and it fly brilliantly, this will too, great vid as always Andrew thanks for showing
Thanks for your video. I am new to wings and have two Mini AR which came preassembled but the AR Pro was basically a kit and I needed some instructions to get me running and this video did just that.
Did you fit the spar, dont remember seeing it go in? I am very mixed on this wing, when it was first announced on Lee`s channel i was all for getting one, and yes it is a very well designed wing, but having seen a couple of maiden video`s it looks to still have a bit of bob and wobble like the 900, so now im not sure, i have a 900 and the rambler 1000, albabird 1100 and dragon 1200, really look forward to your maiden, i would say good luck but a pilot like you dont need luck
Looks very well made & designed but I prefer my wings more streamlined & without the need of a go-pro to make CG. Looks more of a heavy lift long range cruiser.
Great so far Andrew really looking forward to the maiden. Mine has been "Delayed" according to Banggood so I look on with envy. Quick question please: What size FPV camera in the nose, eg Runcam Phoenix 2, micro at 19x19x20 or something bigger
Great video, I was wondering about servo travel, the manual says you should hava a max throw of 12mm but mounting the servo meccanically centered I got around double the throw till touching the servo hold borders. How did you setup the throw? And inside inav? Thanks a lot
Pushrods in the outer holes for servo arm and control horn. 50/50 elevon mix gives close to the right throws. I suspect you're looking at 100% rather than 50% weights
Try E6000/E7000/E8000 with build-in needle tip. They work great for EPP and EPO foam. They are less viscous version of Goop. Much easier and cleaner to use. Gets into tighter seams and gaps for stronger bonds. Also less bulk.
Believe it or not, iv always used super glue on all my planes and wings, ever since i bought my S800 about two years ago. Never had any problems with the foam dissolving or melting as people say.
@@k1ortia The problem with Super Glue (CA) is that they are brittle and does not fill gaps. These E glues are very flexible and have more body to fill gaps, very tough stuff. Much cleaner to use without leaving that 'frosted' appearance; in fact, you can easily remove the glue in many cases, sort of like those 3M Command tapes. Sticks to almost anything, lot of uses. Very inexpensive. You can get them at Banggood or Amazon.
Thoughts on prop size/pitch to run this on 3s? I've got quite a few 3s 5200s that balance pretty much in the same spot as 4S 3300. 3s seems to work pretty well. Get about 20% to 25% more flight cruising around between 5 to 6.5 amps.
I really enjoy flying this wing I'm in process of building my 3rd one, on first 2 I removed the build in electrical plugs for wings because they are only 3 pins each, in order to install receiver on one wing and vtx on other it takes 4 connections but what a waste of these plugs, just wondering how you get around this? Maybe its possible to share a servo ground or maybe positive pin? I do worry about interference by doing this. Thanks for all your videos
Good afternoon I just got my new wing love it. What is the best moter and esc you recommend? I have a new t-motor f45a v2, moter 2210 Method SWR 2200KV still in the box
The servo horns I have on my servos don't allow for the screw, the holes are MUCH too small. Any tips on where I can find ones that fit? Also the nuts for the control bar (or the linkage between the control horn and servos, whatever it's called) close off, kinda like endcaps. Doesn't allow for a tight fit due to the length of the screw. Am I doing something wrong here?
Pushrod is the term you are looking for. Just have to drill out the servo arm holes to the right size, or heat up a pushrod and melt the hole. Buy some nylock nuts to replace the closed ones.
Hi Andrew, I started work on my white one and want to cover the parts in light glasscloth and waterbased varnish, to have a coat preventing it from getting all muddy on my field. How do I go about removing the tool marks (seven point dots), which will push the cloth up, leaving white markings.
Andrew, I am having trouble getting the servos working. Are they PPM or PWM? Can you tell us what reciever you used with no FC on your LOS test? THANKS AGAIN!!!!
Enough room in that to stow ya lunch Mate! Better Engineering In the Design,, Screw on Winglets,.,., About FT! It looks AlMoSt..StElTh!!!!! Always Appreciate the Sonic models.. Always fly well. This should be Awesome..Bat+50g in the nose,,, this thing will not stop in any hurry....
hi , Andrew, do you have any information on how to setup the stock ESC for propeller break on idle so that the prop is positioned horizontally for landing?
I would think adding a brake on wing would actually be a good way to break a prop. If you simply allow the prop to spin free on idle, it should settle into the slipstream on landing (thats my theory at least) and naturally get out of the way. Hope that helps!
Do you think it could be possible to use servos ground as a common ground for vtx or rx, to allow Smartaudio or full crossfire telemetry with these items inside wings pockets?
How long did this take to reach you after you placed your order? i dont know weather to go ahead and order from china or wait until it comes into stock in EU, So i get it quicker here in the U.K.
@@AndrewNewton Great thanks Any possiblity of a quick video on wiring and programming of the receiver, that is always trouble for me? Thanks again Rick
@@AndrewNewton Hi I found your video on the rx6r did you connect that to a flight board? If so what did you use and I what wiring did you connect to it power, sbus, etc? Thanks I'm just trying to figure out all the components that I need and how to wire it
3 wire SBUS cable is all that's required (white red black), but you can also connect SPort (yellow) to send all the telemetry to your radio. INAV on a Flight Control Board - If you chose UART2 as Serial in the Ports Tab then connect White to RX2, Red to 4.5V or 5V, Black to G. For SPort telemetry, enable Soft Serial in Config Tab and connect Yellow to TX2. The board provides power to the RX6R. Have a look at my RC Basics playlist

Does it still fit into the box with the motor mounted, when you takes the wings off but keep the wingtips on?
No, it is perfectly sized for the body without motor, and wings without fins

Plenty of space for gear with the AR Pro
Should I use landing gear on grass field for trainer rc plane
If the wheels are right for the grass length, then yes. Otherwise take it off and belly land
