Can you tell me please? On the back cover of the game does it say something along the lines of "all the latest transfers including Louis Saha to Man Utd" ?
Hi Jack, me and my mate used to play LMA Manager 2005 with a mate all the time on friday/saturday spending over 6-7 hours a go on it. I was Hartlepool and he was Colchester in League 2. We got all the way to 2016 aswell! Im still at hartlepool currently winning the premier division half way through the season. Unfortunately my mate got fired after getting relegated from the PL, ended up moving to Nurnburg in german Division 2 then onto Millwall in Championship. He has the joy of a terrible Sergio Aguero and he also has Kasper Schmichael lol. Also i signed an 18 yr old Michael Dawson from Forrest for 180k first season, he is now full bar and the best player on the game by a mile! LMA is such an excellent game! Love the series mate, wish you all the best at Boston! Ashton is well worth the money!
LMA Manager 2003 was my first manager game and I managed to get Cambridge into the premier league. I remember the highlight commentary with Alan Hanson. Quality stuff haha
my first football management game was the original format of football manager on the zx spectrum over 30 years ago now been hooked on management games ever since
I was born in 1990 & I my brother was 4years older than me, the first manager game I played was championship manager 97/98 on PC & I have played them ever since from champ man all through to football manager current, I don’t care how much time I’ve wasted in my life it’s been worth every minute 👍🏻
do you think at the end of the Apex series (hope it never ends) you could go over what happened to the major teams in europe? i.e. champions league wins, transfers, etc...
CM 06 was my first! I found it in an OXFAM(?!) for about 50p in 2009 and I literally just played as Man Utd and did a reasonable save as my local team Stockport County. It was great and then a few years later I bought FM 12 and that was that.
man I used to love LMA. had it from 2001 all the way up to 2007. Think my 2002 Dumbarton save on ps1 was the highlight of my LMA series. 500million cheat and winning everything in about eight years. I used to take over the commercial duties on the later ones and try to get all my advertising boards the same company. don't think I ever did it
Let's Make a Soccer Team on the PS2 was my first football simulation game I also had an old Championship Manager but didn't know how to use and kept getting stuck on the scouting screen
Hey Jack, you mentioned briefly in the first episode how you were playing this game on your PC, any chance you can link to or write a quick guide on how you do this?
Remember having championship manager 2002 being 12 years old and taking Liverpool to the championships league final, loft that game 2-1 but best achievement in my life!!!!
Premier Manager 98 on PS1 was my first. The only song in the game still plays in my head on a regular basis. Jack are you playing this on PS2 with a capture card or using an emulator?
when i was a kid i hated manager games, didn't understand the point of not playing with the team, one day i was bored of all my games and went search for my dad's games, i found this "premier manager 98" for playstation one. i'm in love for manager games since that day :D
First management game was Ultimate Soccer Manager back in 95, then a short while later Championship Manager 96 demo. Both offered different things that I enjoyed but CM/FM lasted over the years whilst USM stopped around '99. Never really played LMA apart from a demo around 2004 if I remember correctly.
You can build a stadium that looks exactly like a toilet seat in this game ROFL. The one thing that is heartbreaking though is your attendance never changes, I won premier leagues and Champions leagues with Rushden and Diamonds and built new 60,000 stadiums but still no one showed up to watch.
Growing up, most of my gaming was on PC for the opposite reason: "We need a good PC for doing things." Harder to convince parents to spend that much on a 'toy'. Ironically, I started playing FM with FM11, but loved FIFAs Career Mode as far back as FIFA 99
My first manager game was either LMA Manager 2001 for the PS1 or Sven Goran Eriksson's Manager (I think that's what it was called) also for the PS1. I eventually found CM 00/01 for cheap and moved onto that! I also had this really obscure manager game for the Game Boy Color and I have absolutely no idea what that was called.
Bit late to this video but i started off on LMA 2002. I played a couple of saves for 8-10 seasons and started a 2 player save with a mate at college. We were both Chelsea fans so we decided to play as Arsenal and Liverpool. He got fired.
The first manager I played was either Ultimate Soccer Manager or Premier Manager 2. (not quite sure which one I got first) Fondest memories of the time during Championship Manager 97/98 vs Ultimate Soccer Manager 98 vs Premier Manager 98. I had all of them and played all of them to death. Didn't play as much CM/USM/PM until CM01/02 although I did buy CM every year (and FM every year)
My first manager game was Kenny Dalglish Soccer Manager for the Spectrum ZX....but I played this LMA 2003 to death, two names I remember were E.Costa and F.Rochemback, you won't be able to sign either of them now but both become beasts, one last thing......Are you ever going to check the free agents??
@WorkTheSpace... S.Croudson otherwise Steve Croudson.. is now the GK Couch at Hull transferred last year. Got his number! Was due to have trails with GTFC but my age threw them. Played against current manager Paul Hurst too that was at Blundell! You say you lived in Boston .. I'm in sunny SkegVegas.. keep up the good work dude, only wish I could do what you do. :D Take Care pal!
If my memory is working, all of the stats at the bottom (pace, intel, temp etc) don't ever change. So those are the sign of a good youngster. For goalkeepers it's the same but with agility. A goalie with high agility is better because that stat will never change :D So yeah, if you're looking at youth players etc, make sure you find out what those values are! (I used to whore this game, especially 2006)
Jack, I'd love to hear who you think is going to win the Euros! I'm thinking it's either going to be France or Belgium but it'd be nice to hear what you think :)
Love this game recently started replaying.... my team for Wrexham in div 3 Gk- A Walke German first division coz he's young and only back up offer 10g a week an 1000 clean sheet or relegation release clause if he rejects the bonus back up Matty duke (who u signed) yes only 2 keepers Def- S.Smith L.blois C.ireland N.fenton P.morgan B.dixon D.waterman M.rooney G.loovens Mid -T.iseli. I.woan D ferguson P.Hughes. D.caskey N.wainwright A.forbes c.byrne M.spring N.maddison T.scully Str- S.elliot J.forrester L.jones L.trundle. H.sam. J.thomas D clare 442 diamond pressing, keep ball, direct, all out attack for tactic options League standing played 22 won 21 drew 1 (opening game) 0 losses 77 goals 3 against in the league I set up two player to rob s.smith and S.elliot early as both have just signed contracts but I set hull a team up before continuing on one player an they are second in the league Semis Of league cup vs Bolton Man United in fa cup only cheat used was money cheat like urself Could potentially have Europe in me second season
No Apex episode today as I'm away for the weekend and want to have daily videos of it whilst I'm away. Enjoy!
it's Jeff Thomas
Sign Paul Gascoigne
Can you tell me please? On the back cover of the game does it say something along the lines of "all the latest transfers including Louis Saha to Man Utd" ?
I had lma 2006 for ps2 and well, I was 6 years old, didnt understand 3/4 of the game, still played it, keep up Jack great series
Thomas from Swansea is James Thomas, the guy who scored the goal that kept them in the football league all those years back
Hi Jack, me and my mate used to play LMA Manager 2005 with a mate all the time on friday/saturday spending over 6-7 hours a go on it. I was Hartlepool and he was Colchester in League 2. Championship manager 01/02. I was young and shit but I'll always remember how much fun that was
LMA Manager 2003 was my first manager game and I managed to get Cambridge into the premier league. I remember the highlight commentary with Alan Hanson. Quality stuff haha
First manager game was Premier Manager 98/99, god that makes me feel old. great series keep it up 👍
Total Club Manager 2004 now that is my nostalgia right there
First manager game i played was FA Manager, from 1997/98 on Playstation. Loved that game, still play it from time to time.
my first football management game was the original format of football manager on the zx spectrum over 30 years ago now been hooked on management games ever since
Premier Manager 98 on the PS1! Was brilliant!
I want you to go through the season and not lose one match. It's gonna be possible and we're gonna do it.
CM4 on my mum's pc... got hooked and never stopped :)
Premier Manager 1998, and then CM 99/00 I believe. Been loyal to CM/FM since then.
football manager 2012 im new to the franchise and started liking football after the 2010 world cup
I was born in 1990 & I my brother was 4years older than me, the first manager game I played was championship manager 97/98 on PC & I have played them ever since from champ man all through to football manager current, I don’t care how much time I’ve wasted in my life it’s been worth every minute 👍🏻

You always know that 9/10, there is going to be a goal from a corner.
Question: Out of any manager game, what is the save that you'd love to revisit, If you have multiple say all, and why?
Let's Make a Soccer Team on the PS2 was my first football simulation game
I also had an old Championship Manager but didn't know how to use and kept getting stuck on the scouting screen
Championship Manager 3.The save which had Javier Saviola, Gigi Buffon and Kim Kallstrom as amazing wonderkids.
one of the young keepers was AS Monacos Subasic
Hey Jack, you mentioned briefly in the first episode how you were playing this game on your PC, any chance you can link to or write a quick guide on how you do this?

The legend, Cm01/02 with tsigalko upfront obviously :)
My first manager game was Ipswich town manager 04/05, then moved onto the lma manager 2007 and then played every FM since 2007.
Football Manager 2005. Bought from Oxfam but got properly into the series through Football Manager 2010 and have owned every once since.
Ultimate Soccer Manager 98, Ronaldo at Inter, Marcelo Salas at Lazio, loved that game, spent way too much of my life on it!
Please keep this series going and FM 10
Growing up, most of my gaming was on PC for the opposite reason: "We need a good PC for doing things." Harder to convince parents to spend that much on a 'toy'. Ironically, I started playing FM with FM11, but loved FIFAs Career Mode as far back as FIFA 99
championship manager on the PSP! loved the handheld versions on the psp, killed hours playing it
my first game was PM 98 :) but one of the best is cm 01-02 :)
Ultimate soccer manager was my first. Classic stuff.
that intro brings back memories...

Championship Manager 4 was the bomb!
Bit late to this video but i started off on LMA 2002. I played a couple of saves for 8-10 seasons and started a 2 player save with a mate at college. We were both Chelsea fans so we decided to play as Arsenal and Liverpool. He got fired.

Did exactly the same as you on LMA 2004 I think. Would head to my friends with my PS2 memory card and did a Liverpool vs United save.
My first manager game was Kenny Dalglish Soccer Manager for the Spectrum ZX....but I played this LMA 2003 to death, two names I remember were E.Costa and F.Rochemback, you won't be able to sign either of them now but both become beasts, one last thing......Are you ever going to check the free agents??
what if LMA came back out on current gen consoles, I'd love to see it. just the customisation in it was amazing
Championship manager 97-98 came free with the very first family PC we bought :)
