Pickled Cucumber

Ingredients:
7.5 lb of small cucumbers
1/2 cup of salt
1 cup of sugar
500 ml of water
7 chillies
3 large shallots
15 cloves of garlic
1/3 cup of fish sauce
1/3 cup of soy sauce

I want to make this. I have a lot of cucumbers.from garden.. but they are all very large cucumbers.. could I cut my cucumbers in about 1/2 inch chunks or would smaller pickler cucumbers be better?? Thank you! These look amazing!

She said the long English ones won't work. The shorter ones like hers are preferred. But you should experiment to see if it would work.
