"What was it that you spotted that I didn't" is such an amazing question to ask after a game!
It's honestly one of my go to questions every game win or loss. The pursuit of knowledge and improvement is key.
It's coming home let's hope you have more success and win it.
Absolutely not going to stop and I'm motivated by the community surrounding me it's given me sooo much focus and determination 💪🏻
wooh tau! Friends from my local card store keep wanting me to get into warhammer but I only like the look of Tau but everyone doesnt like it XD Glad to see tau is viable! Excited to get into it
What a great way to look at things! Brilliant.
Thank you I'm glad you like the mindset ☺️👊🏻
Thanks for the shout out kyle always a good game
My pleasure Ben I will always shout out great games with great opponents and you sir always challenge me and we play the game in the right way 😎❤️
It was a pleasure getting to play you round 2!
Ahh the Daemon lord himself, It was a pleasure and an honour to play a fellow faction expert, noticed you did well that weekend too well done bro 👊🏻
@@Puretideprogram I did thanks mate, I'll take my only loss being to the world's best Tau player 😁
The pre-elimination of trading prices is not something I had considered.
I always thought: take the biggest threats off first…but since my big guns can do that anyways, having the secondary weapons dedicated to that is a much better move that anything I’ve ever thought of
Well then this is definitely something you will start to do going forward and the game is focused on scoring NOT DAMAGE.
@@Puretideprogram Thanks for the reply, and just so you know I am playing tomorrow and just switch my riptides, devilfish, hammerheads and broadsides to to all have SMS
About half way through the video so not sure that you mention it, but Kauyon actually seems poised to be the strongest detachment in Pariah due to secret missions. Being able to play cagey T1/2 then coming out and doing massive damage while taking a secret mission can help get that 40 on primary every game, which was always kauyons weak point.
Edit: Also noticing how UKTC terrain is waaaaay more open than GW layouts. There isn't a single deployment that I play where I can just pop around a corner and shoot directly into my opponents DZ. That terrain definitely makes Tau much stronger.
New Tau player here with a niche question. Is the marker drone on the pathfinder team not redundant compared to a gun drone? The gun drone's assault ability still allows the unit guide after advancing as they are still eligable to shoot? And Pathfinders already have the markerlight keyword?
To my knowledge the gun drone does what the markerlight drone does, but with more dakka. (overall great video btw)
Return of the King!!!
Haha Tau daddy returns 🤣
I understand your thoughts process of the SMS, but if you guide the units into a different target for their main gun (i guess you always do except for turn 1) youll be hitting on 5/6s, wounding at best at 3+, and they get cover so theyll save mostly on 3/4s. Is that really worth?
Yes that's all in the plan as when you do that you will be getting sustained 1 when hitting the split fire target which makes up for the -1bs. The units that have SMS are usually hidden for a turn or 2 until something of value presents itself so in the meantime the just indirect scoring pieces till then so they have a dual role.
So what detachment do you feel offers the best tools to consistently win?
Kauyon detachment
Looking at the math I can't understand how sms kills enough of anything to matter firing indirectly. Do you just only roll 6s to hit with them?
Have you factored in sus1 from turn 3 and also are you looking at it as damage over consecutive turns or just one activation?
Trust me it does great and works well.
@@Puretideprogram I forgot to factor in twin linked. Turn 3
I'm seeing 70% chance to kill 3 Marines with 48 shots sus1. Guardsman I can see them doing some work at 60% to kill 10. But this is also assuming everything is in range and you never lose any models. Do these numbers seem realistic?
I'll give this a try once I get off the Montka train.
You turned me onto railheads when everyone was so down on them at the start of 10th. They won me a local tournament recently so I thank you for that!
I'm playing a RtT tomorrow, there's 3 tau players, 2 of them are taking this list. I'm taking 12 crisis montka list. 😂
Haha well it's okay that list is old news I've moved on to something else that is spicy 🔥
🎉🎉🎉
Woop woop 🤘🏻
If I am a noob what tear do you recommend me to buy from you?
You can start with pathfinder and if you want to switch you can at any time, if you're after help with lists and list building calls the shas'vre is perfect middle ground.
@@Puretideprogram THANKS
Justin Moore is Tau also and in my local Meta :(
He is a good player and no doubt will be coming for my top spot 😁 😎
First!
Well we shall see but I'm just going to focus on what's in front of me one game at a time 👊🏻😎
