      Yeah just use the old school technique ;) by combing it back en rubbing te dreads in between your handpalms/fingers 😊 it might take a bit more time to get them into the right thickness along the whole length of the dread but you'll get there 😉

    Thanks for this video! Do you find with just turning and using the hook as you do, that they tend to hold fairly well? I've always just back combed and then used the hook and this method here looks to be far easier!

    Thanks for your video! Just a quick one, when starting with the hair. Did you just take the rubber band off and then pull out a section from the main bunch? I tried to take the band off mine and separate the manufacturers braid but it went super knotty! I have the right hair so maybe I just unravelled it wrong in a way to make it knotty, I've got 6 bags of hair and ruined my first bag. How did you pull a section off without cresting knot mayhem haha the skills!!! I tried and ruined mine 😭😭😭

      You can also try dipping them into a pot of boiling hot water. :) a hair dryer would melt them 😜

    So how long can you have these in your hair? Can you wash them as you would your normal dreads?

      If you take care
      Of them they can be in for 6 months until they need re-braiding. Just shampoo the roots and rinse like normal. Air dry them. Really easy to takecare of :) 👌🏻

      When making them the less you back comb and crochet them softer they will be. X

    How do you soften them? After they are made, they itch your skin on you shoulders.

      They can soften over time, but they are plastic.

      crochet / backcombing causes the dreads to get firmer try crocheting them less. x

      You could also cover the dread with a wet cloth and gently press with a hair straightener to create steam!

      Depends how much they have been back combed and crochet. Less back combing and crochet will make them softer.

      @@Libbie.Bullemor depends if your making single ended or double ended dreads and how much you back comb and crochet them but I find they end up half the length when finished.
