    Awesome video, I'm shocked to see sockeyes bite that the spinner!

      Thanks. We actually heavily target the sockeyes on the Togiak River with plugs and jigs. They are good biters if you find the right situation

      @@fishwithjd That's great information, I think it's a drilled into Alaskan fisherman's heads that sockeyes don't bite, but glad to hear and see that it's not true.

      Thanks. Not Panther Martin’s specifically…but similar. These are mostly home built.

      Legend 115 It was a Water Wolf...it has wire eyes on either end so you can just tie it in-line.

    it's so weird because this lure doesn't look like a fish

    • @fishwithjd
      @fishwithjd  6 лет назад +1

      Michael Jordon Nope but the spinning and flashing action is something that triggers a predatory response.

      Blacktailbowhunter 01 It’s from Spinner Dave’s (Top Line Spinners). He’s online and sells quality components for building your own.

    The few rivers I fish are never like this. The water is so low that the deep holes where fish hold are a couple inches to maybe five foot deep. Sad part is the Salmon returns are poor in Puget Sound.

    Is there even a hook on this thing? Youd have better luck just dipping your net in the water with all those fish lmao

    • @fishwithjd
      @fishwithjd  5 лет назад +3

      marsdog No, I usually cut the hook points off when filming...I want see the bite more than the fight. When you hook a fish with the camera line, the footage gets really jumpy.
